On Monday, a group of e-cigarette prohibitionists and propagandists will host a webinar to promote state and local e-cigarette usage bans, and perhaps state and local sales bans, regulations, taxation, etc.

They held a tobacco Harm Reduction webinar on April 15th as well, featuring many abstinence only prohibitionists who vehemently oppose tobacco harm reduction products and policies.

Please note that TTAC is funded by the CDC.

So Calif
These ppl need to get lives. I notice the California AG's office is represented. Memory fails me, but I think that's the gal that's been sending notices to B&M's that flavored juice is illegal, even though the law does not say so. Only flavored cigarettes.

Bill can anyone join the webinar and rain on their parade or do they limit it to fellow travelers?

There was such great interest in the topic that they had to expand the maximum number of 300 participants. I think the webinar peaked at around 360 people.

One speaker identified Gregory Conley and Bill Godshall as CASAA's principals. Sadly I missed this part. I like to think that they said our names with contempt in their voices.

The people from Tacoma actually came out and admitted that they didn't ban e-cig use everywhere smoking was banned because there wasn't scientific evidence to support doing that. That was about the closest the presenters came to honesty throughout the entire 90 minutes.

Not surprisingly, virtually no questions were asked of the panel, and those that were asked were about what they can do to protect the chiiiiiildren.

One interesting note is that Cynthia Hallett has been trying to get in the ear of Dr. Richard Carmona to convince him that he should come out in favor of banning e-cig use indoors until "the evidence" comes in to show that they aren't a public health hazard.

Interesting to note that groups such as the ACS do everything in their power to fight the (proven effective) cancer cures that are already out there which don't line big-pharma's (very deep) pockets. Also, much of their gravy train would be cut off if the cancer caused by the 4,000+ chemicals put into manufactured cigarettes weren't around to help them solicit donations... The same holds true for most of these anti-smoking lobbies. If too many folks were to switch, the donations would dry up and they'd have to go find new jobs...
