Hey, this is bothering me....

Before we end up as bad as "flipping the ...." wherever, maybe we should see how/what/where can be recycled on our PV's.

The carts are reusable, they are also plastic so recycling those is pretty easy.

What about the rest of the thing? We have a battery that WE DO NOT WANT left in a landfill.

I don't want to see convenience for vaping becoming a lame excuse to also just toss it in the trash and order another one.

Ideas? Suggestions? Maybe we can all hussle together a program like they do with Ink Cartridges? They give you a recycle bag to send them out with your purchases?

I'm not some super recycle nut, but I give my honest best to do the right thing.

We could certainly use the supplies support in this. An incentive program to return batteries for recycle. maybe 5% off an order when you do?

Hell, I don't know. We need something, and we need all parties to participate. I'd hate to get all, "I'm a healthy vaper" and then end up ruining water tables because batteries get in the ground. (just an example)

Suggestion: check with your county recycling center about the battery units - some are li-ion - some aren't but they should have a list of batteries they can handle (I'm pre-supposing they already handle battery recycling of course..) and info on what to o with batteries they don't handle atm. If not, your county should have at least A department that deals with recycling in general you can enquire at.

Sears had a battery drop box in the mall back in Ohio. Don`t know if they all do or not but one more place to check.
What I was thinking was how all the prescription drugs are showing up in our water now from flushing them when not used. Wonder how fast the nicotine will be from rinsing carts and stuff.

Gotta love that bottom search function. I was going to ask this all over again.
Thanks.

I also think it would be better to access the batteries in the housing and change them out and reuse the circuits for as long as they last.
The trend among the "modders" (bless them) is to use as much "off the shelf" replaceable components as possible thereby circumventing the (planned obsolesce?) short life span of the commercial units.
I'd rather replace and recycle the batteries than the whole unit.

Ga-head. Call me a hippie MitchellBeans. The world has been my ashtray, flinging butts anywhere I pleased up until now. I'm changning....(I can feel it Dave)...but I'm not afraid. I feel good and I want to pass it on. I want to do better.

Drummel I think you have an excellent idea and while I agree with what many have shared in terms of each of us being personally responsible, the idea of an "organized program" by suppliers and/or ECF or CASAA would create some good-will with the public and we can certainly use all the support we can get. Besides this is just the right thing to do!

footnote: "hippie......" are you serious mitchellbeans - you obviously have NO understanding of the concept or you wouldn't try to woefully toss around the word as some sort of derogatory put-down.
