Two quotes that I like from the article.

Professor Etter:
E-cigarettes don't need to be 100 percent safe, he said, they only need to be significantly safer than tobacco cigarettes because they are primarily used by cigarette smokers. Of the three studies that have investigated e-cig users, none of the daily vapers were non-smokers.

"There are two products competing for smokers' business," Hajek said. "One kills half the users, the other one is at least an order of magnitude safer," he said. "It makes little sense to try to cripple the safer one so the deadly one maintains the market monopoly."

This is what drives the ANTZ crazier as all they know is quit or die and bury the tobacco industry.

Experts continue to debate whether or not "e-cigs" are smoking-cessation tools or just leisure products.

What's to debate? They are both!

"There are two products competing for smokers' business," Hajek said. "One kills half the users, the other one is at least an order of magnitude safer," he said.

I would have put it this way: Of two products competing for smokers' business, one kills half the users, the other one hasn't killed anyone.

You beat me to it was gonna post it.
Awesome article, they are coming around.....

Same here. Was just about to post a link to the same article.

Great read.

I do find it interesting that they say they dont have much data research and analysis on long term use of E-cigs.
Ive been a Vaper for 4+ years now and I can attests to the positives of long term use.
Im sure there are many more just like me.

The study's key findings:
- Among daily vapers who quit smoking, 6% relapsed to cigarettes after one month, remaining at 6% after one year.
- Among all daily vapers, 98% still vaped daily after one month, and 89% still vaped daily after one year.
- Among daily vapers who also smoked (i.e. dual users), 22% had quit smoking after one month, and 46% had quit smoking after a year.
