E-Cigarettes Harmful, Should be Taken Off Market, Study Says

Not one fact mentioned just a lot of supposition

"Until we know any thing about the potential health risks of the toxins generated upon heating the nicotine-containing content of the e-cigarette cartridges, the 'safety' claims of the manufacturers are dubious at best."

the key words are "Until we know any thing " I just love people who want to dictate to others what is safe without any proof and then come out with articles like this.

"Our study -- one of the first studies to evaluate e-cigarettes -- shows that this product has many flaws, which could cause serious public health problems in the future if the flaws go uncorrected,"

"They're inhaling we don't know what kind of plastic material or residue,"

Just had a friend give hand me this... What a bunch of BS. I'm no scientist or medical professional but just because a person has an MD or PHD doesn't give them the right to publish junk like this with no hard facts. I wonder how much money the FDA is giving these guys in grants.
Lets see the problems with the general blind statements that are made:
1.) Found design flaws.... Ok what brands were tested? What flaws specifically?
2.) What plastic am I vaporizing? What chemicals are in the batting this guy is testing?
3.) OMG Nicotine is Toxic! Sure, but no more toxic than caffeine and what proof is there that it's even bad for you? They are testing Nicotine on Alzheimer patents and they allow the patch to be given to people.

Wow we need to get these people to stop this blind, uniformed campaign against something they don't even research properly.
Talk about "crying wolf!"......... "Serious Public Health problems" -worse than smoking analogues or even using alcohol?

BTW once I pointed out the flaws with the statements and lack of research my friend thought about this crappy article and seen the error of his ways ;)
I asked him if maybe we should pull the medical breathing treatment device his daughter uses for her asthma as it's "almost" the same thing" LOL :vapor:
