I smoked for more than 25 years. I tried every possible means of quitting. I felt it was a hopeless situation and sooner thought I could climb Mount Everest than quit smoking. Feb 5th will mark the one year point since I have taken a single drag from a real cigarette. Do I still use e-cigs? Yes, but I don't care. I don't hack and cough and have none of the harmful effects of real cigs and I don't even miss smoking those old things. I couldn't be happier and I feel like screaming from the top of Mount Everest that everyone who has failed at quitting smoking should try this. Chaps, Florida:)

Hi Chaps !

Almost a year, wow ! Congrats for quitting cigarette !
I will do that pretty soon too, am shopping for my e-cig right now, takes a lot of patience to go through everything...

I was wondering, after a year, do you still use nicotine ?

That's the big thing for me. thinking that if I want I won't have to quit the habit, just let go the nicotine and continue with the 0mg liquid.. that is awesome !

@Chaps...Grats on your one year anniversary! Welcome to ecf. I can't help but wonder what took you so long to find us. Like you, I wanted to shout it out to the world that vaping was a wonderful thing!

@Garza...Don't worry about it. I started out with the intention of cutting my smoking in half. In reality, I went from 2 packs a day to about 5-7 cigs a day without even really trying. At that point I decided to try quitting altogether. It took me about 3 months before I finally realized I didn't even want the cigarettes any more. The morning, lunch break, and the bedtime cigs were the hardest for me to give up.

My wish would be that more smokers would read ECF and see this type of response to PVs. Congrats CHAPS!

Congrats! Aren't these little things just about the best thing in the world?
Such a life saver for soooo many.
I quit totally (analogs) after just 2 weeks of starting to vape. That was 1 year
and 6 weeks ago. I tapered off over the 2 weeks of starting to vape and just said
I was going to try to go a whole day, without the morning analog with my coffee. (loved that one)
Well here I am, almost 14 months later and have never had that morning analog again.
:rickroll:
Don't even miss it!
So glad you found your way here and your testimonial gives inspiration to all.
