I have a suggestion for articles such as this that get wide distribution from multiple sources. Instead of starting a new thread for each source, maybe we can just add the additional source(s) to the existing thread.

Just a thought...
Correct ...
As we get closer to the time when the FDA announces its demon regulations
we will see a MAJOR increase in such articles and we will end up with tons of threads
basically on the same subject.

When the FDA announces their "proposed" regulations ...
The number of threads on the same subject lines will be absolutely insane.

The reality is ... adding articles to the same topic previously posted
makes perfect sense ... however, few members will do it.

I think each one needs a new thread... it makes the link more prominent from the standpoint of responding in the article's comments.

Also I really wish people would stop breaking links this way:

htt p:// www. some site .com

and start doing this:

http
://www
.somesite.
com

makes it much easier to just copy and paste the link. Especially on mobile devices.

I still smoke cigarettes when people hand one over (I don't ask). But I haven't bought a pack since November of last year.

Is there a post here that outlines the uses and differences that we can use to easily explain to people that ask us? I haven't found much with the search. I usually get the "you know those things contain antifreeze don't you?" that or "formaldehyde".. It's sickeningly stupid. Then I try to explain what's really in them.. And also allude to yes, there's glycerin in it.. You you eat it every day and wipe it all over your hands after using the bathroom too.. Also water is used in your coolant.. Does that mean you're drinking antifreeze?!?

True ...
However, I suggest members should really re-think the whole concept of posting articles
which would require breaking the links. It wasn't that long ago ... posts with broken links
were rare ... Today ... it seems broken link posts are a daily occurrence.

The Net is full of anti-ecig garbage ... That doesn't mean we need to post many of them for discussion.

Don't really know the solution ...
However, balanced articles or fairly balanced articles should be the focus when selecting
articles to post. I agree some negative articles are worthy of discussions based on this or that.

Just my 2 cents

Propylene Glycol is not the same thing as Ethylene Glycol. They are both glycol because of the process in which they are produced but that's like saying margarine is plastic because they are both made from corn..... lol
Edit: not saying you were saying that BUT I love having comebacks whens people are using misinformation against me so I figured I'd arm you with some truth ;-)

Yes, please! It takes me forever to unbreak links on the ipad, especially if there are several spaces inserted. When they are split between lines I can just copy and paste.

HA! I agree, though the Media Section would be empty if we were only to post fair and balanced articles!! They seem to be few and far between lately. Rather frustrating actually.

Not really about "fair and balanced" per se

Up until recently most of the posted articles in this forum
did NOT have the links broken. Also I've noticed in the last few months
a very noticeable increase in new membership so new members who
have joined in the last few months are posting in greater numbers.

Up until recently members searching the Net for something to post
would "In General" not post pure negative anti-ecig "so called" articles
requiring the members to break links.

Now the numbers of negative articles being posted are so numerous
we find a need for a discussion on an easier way to break links
to make putting them back together easier so we can find the article on the Net.

Frustrating !!
I used to post articles and stopped (for the most part) due to the flood
of new members and others searching and posting. However, fewer and fewer
of us choose not to post anti-ecig articles.

To tell you the truth ... when I see a post with the link broken ...
I don't even try to paste it back together to find the article on the Net.
I wait to see what others say in replies ... If it's pure junk ... I'm not interested
in reading the "anti-ecig slanted propaganda".

I don't know what the answer is ... In light of what will get worse due to
the social media feeding frenzy regarding regulations and when the FDA
releases its demon crap ... all hell well break loose with negative e-cig articles
that makes what's going on today seem like child's play.

The reality is the simple system to break links (previously posted) makes sense ...
However, most will not break links that way.

Maybe a moderator or other seasoned members might jump in here
with their thoughts and suggestions.

Good suggestion ...
However, more thought is needed so this forum
doesn't end up with most of the posted articles having broken links

I would assume that I'm not the only one who doesn't bother
pasting links back together just to read Junk and Pseudo Science crap
just to end up feeling depressed.

I'll use the suggestion for breaking links.

However my increase in posting the junk science is in hopes that people will either post educated comments or their stories. To assist others with knowledge that have not yet found the ECF forums.

Having a special interest in Canadian ones as Health Canada still actively does what the FDA was taken to court for doing. Huge misconception here that it is "illegal", even though our laws would put Health Canada in a similar situation as the FDA if taken to court.

My observations and suggestions wasn't directed in any way to any specific member
but just in general. It's understood part of the fight is posting comments.

I'm really not looking forward to all the anti-ecig stuff in the media
for the foreseeable future.

The following has kept me focused and I sincerely believe it applies to e-cigarettes.

All truth passes through three stages
First, it is ridiculed
Second, it is violently opposed
Third, it is accepted as being self-evident
