Alaskan vaper here. Never had any problems. This will be winter 3 as a vaper. Left many batteries in my car and they still work. One thing I noticed is that a cold battery will drain and need a recharge faster then a warm one. As far as juice goes, I have left some in my car when it was -20F and it did not freeze. Just thickened up a bit, so wicking becomes harder. I don't know about menthol crystals though because I do not vape it. Hope this helps.

Well, I've done some research on the forum and found out some info. about freezing.
Apparently, if your juice has both VG and PG, most likely won't freeze in the cold weather.
If juice is ony VG, according to the forum, it will freeze up some and won't produce much vapor outside when it's really cold.

As a newbie to e cigs., who just quit smoking with the e cig, just wanted to make sure the e cig will work in winter,
since it's right around the corner.

So, good to know it will work with right e juice.

Thank you to everyone who posted a reply to my thread. I can't believe it's been 4 days now of quitting analog cigs and I'm not going insane!!!

Who ever invented e cigs, my hats off to you!!!!!!!!

Very helpful, thanks for your post. Was wondering if the e juice you use is VG or PG/or a combo?
I'm making my own e juice, and somewhere on the e cig forum I read that you can't use VG only because it won't produce any vapor in cold weather.

Just curious, since I want to use VG and no PG.

I don't use the menthol crystals, I just use lorran mint extract for flavouring.

It's my 4th day of quitting smoking, thanks to e cigs!!!!! For me this is an absolute miracle!!!!!!!

Double check the mint extract in the DIY section... is it normally used by vapers? Some are oils, some aren't.

PG won't freeze. VG... keep it in your pocket. Same with the device if you can. Performance will change a bit, but IDK about that -20F stuff. lol. You can mail-order most PG based juice without it freezing in the mailbox.

Look for a wiki on PG and VG and see what % you wish to use. The freezing temps are listed at % ratios with water. That will give you some ideas, even tho e-juice is not largely water.
