I read the article.. Standard fair for what is going on right now.. Very uniformed people.. scary thing because these are so called professionals and this is what the majority of the population will read. Anyway, just go to the bottom of the page and write you own little message. Just click on Contact Us on the bottom of the page, a new box will open asking if you want to comment on this subject. It may fall on deaf ears, but worth the effort.

good idea!

The FDA report is bunk anyway. Even IF they are found to have jurisdiction over E-juice, the initial report was only done with the potential minor side effects of PG, NOT VG.... which seems to be much much safer anyway. As almost everyone states, When I started vaping, I almost immediately quit smoking cigarettes. I can breathe better, sing better, And I don't wreak of cigarette smoke. There are no cherries to fall off and burn carpet holes or start forest fires. I have taken my picture vaping in front of propane tanks and at the gas station just to prove a point. In fact, after 20 years of smoking a pack or more a day, Now I cannot stand to be around a lit cigarette. Even if there are "trace" amounts of harmful substances in E-Juice, They should not be able to "BAN" e-juice as long as the much much worse tobacco is still being sold at the corner gas station. I have tried the patch, twice... the word twice says it all. It did not work for me. The patch is still being sold... Many people have quit vaping as well. If you "want" to quit, you can. I however, do not. I was going to smoke analogs til I died.. I would much rather Vape. It is much more safe. I do not care what the FDA says about it. It is safer. A poll I made shows that some people have been vaping a year or more.. That just goes to show that you can vape for at least a year and not die. What do they want 20 years? The way things are going, Who knows if America will even be around in 20 years, or any humans for that matter. This is a revolutionary device. And it is a great thing. It should be regulated, taxed and sold in markets. If that never happens, we all will just continue to stealth vape. There are ways around their stupid unjustified laws.

Its fun how the anti's want to "warn" us about the evil's of e-cigs when they don't even take the time to fully research them. They go off opinions of other anti's and ONE study that used one of the least reputable e-cig companies there is!

I couldn't agree more.. ONE study...

I'm going to send Mr. Michael P. Eriksen a polite e-mail telling him that he is wrong. I quit analogs the day my first PV arrived and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

If you want to join me, here is his address - meriksen@gsu.edu

My email to the "good" doctor:

Regarding WebMD Article on eCigarettes located at:

http://www.webmd.com/smoking-cessation/news/20090722/fda-ecigarettes-bad-not-banned

Dear Dr. Eriksen,

In the article above, you stated the following:

"I have seen no evidence that people switch from tobacco cigarettes to e-cigarettes or other smokeless tobacco products," Eriksen recently told WebMD. "If you look at how smokeless products are marketed, they are sold as something to use at times you can't smoke. The implication is you will increase nicotine exposure, not reduce smoking."

I would like to state my position as an ex-smoker. I started smoking when I was 20 years old. I tried to quit utilizing the Nicoderm patch on multiple occasions, with no success. At 32, I finally found the eCigarette. This product allowed me to put down the "analog" cigarette and I eventually stopped even regular use of the eCig.

I am not the only success story of this kind. There are many people who see these same results. You can read about many of these people on the e-Cigarette Forum at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com.

You are a doctor and as such hold a position of great authority and respect. The statement "I have seen no evidence" simply reflects a lack of adequate research on your part. As a doctor, it is your resposibility to the American people to do a better job.

With great power comes great responsibility.

Thank you for your time.
