So I am looking for people that I can send my juices I don't like or I just simply won't use to. In turn those people will do the same for me. Basically we can post what we have and then someone can chime in and say they want to try it. That person will pay for the shipping and then when they get it they can try it and then resend it to another person. We will have a chart showing what juices are in circulation and who currently has them and where they will go next. I figure this way we can all try a lot of juices without spending the money to buy a whole bottle and then end up not liking it. Hopefully we will have several juices to try and when sending a package to someone we can make sure to send a few at a time so for the shiping cost they get to try at least a few different flavors. Anyone think this is a good idea? :vapor:

Interesting - what may be simpler - just a twist on your idea...

What people used to do in the concert recording trading community, was send each other blanks and postage to send them back. So that someone could just get a envelope with tapes in it to copy and send back with the supplied postage. We could do this with flavors, maybe send someone a couple of small vials to put testers in and the postage to mail them back. Might be easier than starting a big web.

just a thought.

One person, fine. I'm a little creeped out by juice going to many houses and through many hands.

QFT. I'm just now slowly coming around to the idea of swapping/buying juice from individuals through here. I mean really, even if you "know" someone on here through post precedent, do you really know them enough to inhale something they've sent you? Obviously people do this successfully all the time here so I chalk a lot of my misgivings up to my germ-phobia/compulsion. So while I'm somewhat opening up to swapping/buying from one person at a time, I can't stomach having all these juices passing through multiple hands.

For those that don't worry about that issue, it seems like a good/fun idea.

I just threw out a completely full (minus 3 drops) of Wintergreen. I'll play. But I'm not organized enough to keep track. Someone will have to tell me exactly what to do. Then there is the postage thing. The minimum postage I've seen on my orders from vendors is around $3.00. I'd for sure want to sample more than just one juice for $3.00. KWIM?

Ok I just thought of an idea. Maybe someone (the OP?) can be the designated Court Taster like in medieval times. All juices can go to him/her first which will be sampled. There will be a designated waiting period- a week, let's say- in which the CT (see? there's already an abbreviation for the role) will post health updates (my suggestion is 2/day). If after the "sample period" there are no reports of ill effects (internal staph infections, growth of third arm, death), the CT can forward the juices along the line.

Of course upon passing a juice along, that juice has now been exposed to another person, so in the interest of efficacy and safety that person would then need to return the bottle to the original CT, who will then need to retry the juice and restart the Is This Juice Tainted Waiting Period (hereafter known as ITJTWP) before sending it to the next person in line, etc etc etc. So if you are, say, the 10th person in line for a juice, you can expect your sample in approximately 2 years.

What do you all think?

At least then I'd have some juice coming to me in 2 years if e-liquid get banned by then lol! But seriously, this sounds like too much hassle to me. I'd rather lose a few bucks worth of nasty juice than go through the trouble of keeping track of when I'm receiving my samples and when and to whom I need to send them next. But maybe that's just me. On the other hand, I'm not a picky vaper. I have vaped almost every juice I've ordered with the exception of maybe 3-4 flavors which I gave to a friend who I converted recently. If I don't like something I generally vape it but don't order it again.

Dom- I just did some research and found documentation stating that the onset of internal staph infection or third-arm growth as a result of vaping tainted juice occurs within 3 days after the initial ingestion. With that knowledge, I think we could safely knock the ITJTWP down to 4 days (let's keep a day in there for wiggle room), and therefore if you were 10th in line you would get the juice in only 1.5 years. Sounds pretty enticing now eh?

I've done red robins and all sorts of different pifs before on a different un-related site. They are so much fun, and I always have thought how nice it would be to have more kinds of threads like that here, a variety of them. I wouldn't send first to one person, one person starts it, but I would have clear cut rules, and some of them would pertain to packaging and hygiene, expiration of juices, etc. I think it would be a good thing to ask everyone to wipe down what they send with something that disinfects, to send clean things only, and to package in such a way to avoid spills....

Also people participating should be accepted based on how trustworthy they are - perhaps if they have pif pos transactions, classified pos transactions, how long they have been at ecf, etc.

It's exciting to think this will happen but I don't think it actually will for a few reasons. It would take someone really responsible and available to set this up and keep it going, and it may require a mod.... as well as permission from ecf. It may be deemed to much work, or too fallible.

Maybe instead we can all send the juices to one trusted location and that one person will list what juices they have. We can then request a sample of said juices and for the shipping cost we can get a small sample of as many on the list as we want until the samples are all gone. Constantly adding new juices to said list. When sending our juices in we can include empty bottles if we have them so the samples have a safe sanitary place to go. The person handling the sample making will clean the empty bottles in an agreed upon way before putting the samples in them. eh eh eh?
