E-Juice residue built up in the mouth

I've been vaping since Thursday Feb 25th. I've been alternating from RY4 to Basic Forbidden for the last 2 days. Mostly smoking RY4 (I love it) with an occasional switch to forbidden.

My issue is after hitting the RY4 steady at the end of the night I noticed a build up on the roof of my mouth. Then as i started to run my tongue around i realized it was everywhere.

I suppose I could live with it. But I just wasn't sure that it should be happening. Anyone else had this problem?

On another note, I felt great everyday since i started but this morning my throat feels a little tender and my nose is kinda stuffy. I was vaping the starter 510 carts until 2 days ago. Thanks in advance!

Try a shot of whiskey, cleans it right off!

haha, if only this were a practical thing to do all day.

I've brushed to my hearts content and still have residue when i'm finished. I'll have to try some different mouthwashes and whatnot.

It may also be caused by me overfilling. thanks for that note. I do try to squeeze as much as possible in there and i tend to almost always have to dab the pool off the top when i'm done. but i never notice any liquid dripping into my mouth.

I've never heard of any build up or could even imagine why it would. There's not really that much there to build up as far as flavor goes. A heavy mix of VG can coat your tongue a bit ( I had that happen) but it has to be almost all VG and hardly no PG in it.

Could it be that the roof of your mouth is just getting really dried out? VG will do that also. If it gets really dried out it could feel rougher and feel like something was there.

Anyway, I suggest drinking water or something when you vape. It will keep you from getting "dried out".

I am a little dry in my throat but not the rest of my mouth. it feels almost like i put a dab of vaseline or chapstick in my mouth and coated it all over. i can even feel it on my teeth.

VG gives me a dry throat for sure.

I had a terrible problem with this when I first started vaping... yuck! It turned out to be the DeKang juice and as soon as I changed to US made PG with 10% VG the problem stopped. Now if I vape even a few puffs of cheap juice I get the feeling it's coating my mouth. Try a better quality juice. :) I would recommend Halo for a pure juice or Tasty Vapor for quality fun flavors. I'm sure there are others that can also be recommended.

I'm getting it from the RY4. I know a lot of people use this and love it. I ordered it because so many people testified to it on here. Anyone had the problem with this particular juice? I'm think i'll stick with PG concentrated juice from now on. Sucks because I was really liking this RY4 stuff. :(

PG gives me a thin, 'grainy' kind of film.
VG gives me a thick slimy film.
A 4:1 mix of PG/VG respectively seems to be a decent compromise for me. It still leaves a film though.

Yep, I noticed this film myself. I believe that it is just a thin layer of PG/VG and is as harmless as the vapor (although, yes, it is a bit annoying.) Honestly I think that we are not absorbing nic only through the lungs as we would with smoke; I think we are absorbing some immediately via the lungs but that further absorption happens due to this film. No basis other than opinion and my own logic for my beliefs, though.

i just pulled the tea bags out of my carts and realized that they had big pools of liquid down at the bottom. I obviously have been topping them off way more than i should. I turned the empty carts upside down on a napkin and drained quite a bit more out. I think probably has a lot to do with it. I loaded a fresh tea bag into a clean cart and only put in about 6 drops. I even pulled the bag out after filling just to make sure i didn't totally saturate it. This seems to be doing the trick. Such a learning curve to overcome, but totally worth the trouble.
