E Juice - Shelf Life

Dumb noob question. I have some of the Smoketech LR clearomizers. They have the fiber fill and hold about 5 mils of juice. I screw these on to my ego-t battery. These things hold so much juice that I invariably have several different flavors in the carts lying around for days without using them. How long would one of these last before the juice goes bad or I should stop using them? They all still taste fine..they seem OK. Is there any other reason I should toss them?

I read one post on this forum about somebody using juice they stocked up on in 2009 during the FDA scare. I think you're probably in the clear for a while.

Update to my E Juice shelf life question. Went back to check an a cart that I haven't used in about 4 days (filled about a week ago). Yeeecchhh. I have answered my own question. If you leave them lying around and not use them for 4-5 days...they will indeed taste like...well, something horrible.

Ah, juice in the cart must be affected differently than juice in the bottle then. Thanks for being the guinea pig so I don't have to do it.... haha!

Juice will sometimes change flavor the longer it sits. This is what we call steeping and sometimes the flavor gets better, sometimes it doesn't. The cart that you tried and didn't like probably went through this. It doesn't mean the juice went bad. Juice has a shelf life of around a year or so. If you haven't been vaping very long, your taste buds could still be recovering from smoking.

Hmmmm....I fill Boge's up about 20 at a time and it takes about 2 weeks for me to use them. I put the condoms back on after filling and I don't have any weird tastes coming from them.

i used juice from 2007 and it seem good but the vapor was not that good but the taste was not bad

the bad taste might come from the plastic if you had them in the sun for any legenth of time and the plastic starts to break down wich could cause the bad taste

My unflavored stored in freezer passed 2 year mark and still good as new.

Unflavored liquid stores weeks in Smoktech clearomizers w/o discoloration or loss of TH.
Some flavored liquids change color in the cartos and glass bottles; I've been known to vape them anyway.
Some flavored liquids may react w/ materials in clearomizer over time.
Cartos stored damp w/ H2O will mold; not good.
If liquid looks like new in clearomizer I'm not aware of an issue.

If I fill new, unused cartos and store them they're like new when I vape them stored as long as 3 weeks with the condoms on each end. On the other hand, once I have vaped from a carto the shelf-life ticks quickly for me. Bacteria from the condensation on the drip tip or little plastic tip makes my cartos taste funky in a few days. I'm kind of wacky about it and prefer to drip on an atomizer for a cleaner experience. Cartos are easy and convenient but don't last long for me. Some of the funkyness could be in my head.
