Hey guys. I'm pretty new to vaping and this is my first post on this forum. Created an account here coz I'd heard great things about it :)

Been using the e-leaf istick 60W TC starter kit for the last 4 months. Original Eleaf iStick TC 60W E Cigaratte Starter Kit

It was great till I started getting an "Atomizer low" error message on the display. It's unusable now thanks to this error. I've tried cleaning out the plate in the battery well and have replaced the old coil with a new one.

The coils I use are the Kanthal 0.3 ohms: 5pcs Original Heater Core for Eleaf iJust 2 / Melo Melo2 Melo 2 Clearomizer

The tank is the E-leaf Melo 2 atomizer.

Please help! Getting back to smoking cigarettes again till I figure this out :(

I have an istick60 TC. Its a good mod.

Its been a long time since i used it (fell in love with the istick Pico)

If memory serves the istick60tc only fires down to .3 ohms.

Just because tge coil head saya .3 there could be variations .26 or .34.

Get some .5 or .8 ohm coils (or even better go RDA or RTA and build high enough coils. My current set up is

Istick Pico, LV HG2 battery, Kayfun lite plus V2 RTA and a .8 ohm coil.

Hey Two_Bears! Thanks for your reply! This definitely clears things up a little.

The picture attached to this reply is the product description of the iStick 60W TC from the website I bought it from.

Could you clarify the highlighted lines in the picture please?

Box mod range: 0.15 - 3.5 ohm (VW mode)
Melo 2 atomizer resistance: 0.5 ohm

How/Why are the above two resistances different?

I have been using the 0.3 ohm Kanthal coil as mentioned in my previous post I have now ordered the 0.5 ohm. Hopefully this should fix the problem.

Update since my last post: the error message on the iStick is now suddenly "No Atomizer" rather than "Atomizer low".

Cheers,
AP

You obviously have a later release than the one i got because the lowest mine will go is .2 or .3

The NO Atomizer warning. One of two things is happy.

1. The coil head is sot screwed all the way in, or tge coil ia not having a complete curcuit from the positive to the negative.

If yoy were using a RDA (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer) or RTA (Rebuildable Tank Atomizer) i would say make sure the screws that trap the leads have backed out and not making contact.

Welcome and glad you joined. Ditto on trying out a higher ohm coil. Could contact Eleaf USA and ask for support or contact your vendor.

the low msg, usually means it cannot fire due to the atomizer being too low in ohms or similar conflict... it's a protection measure.
according to the product info .3 isn't too low
so.. what wattage are you going for and what kind of battery do you have?

Hey Cheallaigh. Thanks for your reply.

I usually fire at around 27 W.

These are the batteries I'm using >>>

3.7V 2500mAh 18650 Rechargeable Li-ion Battery

3.7V 2500mAh 18650 Rechargeable Li-ion Battery ( INR18650 - 25R )

I hope this helps.

If you read Around here much you'll see that most of us stay off the cigs using multiple mods tanks and coils. Backups for your backups. And a multi meter is a common tool. GL!
