I seem to be experiencing this phenomenon and I wanted to know if this is common or uncommon...
To make a super long story short I'll just ask this question: Is it a common problem to vape a specific flavor for a while and to have the strength of the flavor fade as if your senses had become accustomed to it? As if your taste buds had acclimatized themselves to it and now the flavor is weaker.
Accounting for all other variables, this seems to be happening to a juice I've been using for a while, and I'm trying to decide if you guys have found this to be common, or if I'm having a stroke in the tasting region of my noggin!

Thanks guys!

When I notice my ADVs not tasting right, I use an Altoid flavored juice. The first few puffs will bring your eyes to full bright (very strong mint flavor). If I continue to vape it for a day or so the flavor becomes very much less noticeable. Not very scientific, but I believe that any thing that you do repeatedly over a period of time tends to get tuned out by your senses.

Have you tried drinking something like strawberry milk+soda while enjoying your vape.. I recover my senses through certain mix of drinks ... Usually something that contain lemons, lime or milk

Yup. Very common. I'm really bummed myself right now because my favorite liquid just tastes like it's been muted to about 15% of it's usual intensity. I just put it on the shelf for a while, and go through some liquids on the other end of the flavor spectrum. If it's fruity losing flavor, I vape some tobaccos / coffees / etc. for a few days. Coming back to it after a few days usually resolves it for me. Sometimes I have to put it up for longer.

Added question: It's always struck me funny that I never "lost" the taste of the cigarettes I smoked...and I did that 20 X per day. Same cigarettes, day in and day out.......always tasted the same. Any theories on why our tastebuds don't check out to burning tobacco smoke? LOL.

vapor tounge as its commonly known.. is the bodies response to an overload of the senses ( taste smell) of a consistant source.... it also affects smell in the same manner. The body will shut down the associated chemical response and ignore it so the other sources are able to be detected.... its like the people who work at the municipal sewer plant.... they quit smelling the otherwise disturbing scents most of us detect when driving by the plant....
