I apologize in advance if this has been covered before, but there's SO much information on these boards that I'm having trouble sifting through it all.

I have a SI Volt kit, with 78mm batts, and a lot of pre-filled cartos. I thought I wouldn't want to mess with liquids, but of course this board has peaked my interest. Not to mention, apparently I'm a vape fiend going through a carto and a half a day.

If my understanding is correct VG is thicker than PG? Is there anything I need to be aware of as far as what's "safe" to vape with the 78mm Volt batts and a carto. 100% PG is fine, but what about VG or a combination of the 2? I don't want to kill the batts prematurely etc.

Also, my batts are auto. I've seen warnings against leakage into the battery. If I use the condom method and let the carto dry several hours or overnight, there shouldn't be leakage into the battery right?

The only thing that will kill your batteries faster is as you mentioned juice leaking in the hole. I have found vg blends work fine in the bloog cartomizers, the only juice that really did not work was VR4, from vaperite, but its thick as molasses. I fill my cartz and vape right away, i just drip fill, and blow out the excess, no dry time required. The big concern is when you are topping up your carts while attached to the battery, because you cant be sure if your overfilling. have fun good luck on the search for a perfect flavor( i suggest getting halo sample pack) they sell pre-filled g6 cartz now too.

Yup, always remove the carto for refilling, make sure the filler is saturated but no juice sits on top of the filler, and then gently wipe the threads with a tissue. In the future, I suggest getting a manual battery also; they are sealed and leaks won't harm them.

Leaford's (well, Bloog's) factory juices are 100% PG, but as Teabagger mentioned, some blends, up to 30%VG/70%PG are usually OK.

As far as safety, there is no difference between PG and VG. Most people use blends of PG and VG. However, I don't recommend the condom method for filling cartomizers with horizontal coil; just dripping from the top directly from your bottle is safer and less messy. And you're less likely to overfill them.

Keep them wet, but not dripping wet, at all times. Top off often and top off early!

Good luck!
