Do you think e-liquid manufactures should post the test results of their e-liquids online so that people can make a more educated decision about what they are purchasing? Or is this over kill? Should we just take their word that they have had their juices tested?

Many won't even tell you where their located, or their QC practices.

I can't think of five vendors I would trust.

But yes they should. At the very very least.

I want to know if Diacetyl, Acetoin and or Acetyl Propionyl are in there. We know these are not good for inhalation but are present in many creamy, custardy flavors. They blend well with tobaccos and are probably in most e liquid these days. I DIY and avoid flavors with that stuff. I also want to know at what temperature a flavor used breaks down into toxic fumes like formaldehyde.

Acetyl Proprionyl, Diacetyl, Acetoine are all ingredients that are used to create flavors such as creamy, caramel, butterscotch, any of the custard flavors and a few others I cannot think of. They can cause irreversible damage to the lungs. Not all e-liquids have these ingredients, but many do. It requires special testing to determine if those ingredients are present and then find a substitute. There are a number of highly ethical e-liquid manufactures that have done the testing and have made the changes, but I would say, and this is just speculation on my part, that most have not.

This should be on every label...
  1. Poison. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  2. Nicotine content.
  3. PG/VG content.

the producers of the e-liquids are usually very honest already anyway. usually all the ingredients (expect for the aroma) are on the liquid bottles themselves. We know that PG, VG and Water are basically harmless, why add any... results? It's all basic knowlege.

My advice as a newbie myself. Read that thread. every page. Follow the links. Google the terms you don't get. Pay attention to Dr. F's study and how many samples were out of compliance.

Look at the dates of the posts then ask yourself "Has the industry proven it can self regulate? and "If I want to continue to vape without the Government/BT/BP trodding all over me how can I stop errors like this from happening?"

Then make up your own mind.

If an e-liquid manufacturer wants my money, and by extension my lungs, then they must have my trust. They get my confidence by following some sort of testing protocol. They get my trust by posting results, identifying issues, and following up on those issues.

Regards,
