E liquid taste

I started gaping two weeks ago and glad to say I've quit chewing and smoking cigars. I started with one of those cheap start up kits at the gas station that look like a cigarette. I liked the taste of the coffee and vanilla really well. S I decided to upgrade and bought and ego C. I bought a variety of fluids such as coconut, cotton candy, vanilla, and coffee. I noticed that they were the same strength 18mg as the starter kit I used before however, the flavored tasted all alike and were so harsh I could barely smoke them much less enjoy them. I'm not sure if my device is different or do all flavors just taste this way? Thanks for the help

There are quite a few things that can effect an e liquid. In addition to the suggestions above I will throw out a few others. My best guess is your attachment isn't preforming up to speed, as the range of flavors you chose shouldn't all taste similar.

-Try a different attachment (cartomizer/clearomizer/atomizer). I have had the same brand of clearomizers perform wonderfully, and horribly at times. Bad coils etc. can lead to an awful burning flavor that would ruin any juice. I recommend Kanger EVOD's or iClear 16's for clearomizers, but there are many others as well.
-Try a different level of PG/VG. Most e liquid vendors will give you a choice as to your preferred blend. Higher PG content produces more of a throat hit. It sounds like you are getting too much of one, so a higher VG content would soften that.

I don't think the PG level is the problem, but thought I would at least mention it so you knew about it's effects going forward. I would bet it's a bad attachment causing the issue.

I've never been a fan of clearomizers. My experience pretty much mirrors your own, although I must admit the ones that I have used were top coil and not bottom coil clearomizers which could provide an entirely different vape.

My suggestion is to try some different "juice toppers", or juice delivery devices. I've written a picture dictionary for beginning vapors on the more common ones in this blog article:

You also may have gotten some lousy juices. Most of us experienced vapors have tried several vendors before we found one flavor that we would purchase again. Juice flavors and vendors are very hit or miss.
