I have read various negative things about using 36mg or 48mg liquids. Using the Totally Wicked Titan Tornado mega-battery along with a LR atomizer, I have been using 16mg, 24mg, and 36 mg, Dekang liquid (Camel and Marlboro VG). I found a supplier in China with great prices, even with the higher shipping charges. I decided to try 48mg, also Camel and Marlboro VG, sold by My Freedom Smokes. I find that, with no negative effects whatsoever, it really satisfies me. I alternate back and forth with the different strengths and even mix the two flavors together. I never feel dizzy, and my BP and HR, checked with a cuff meter, stay pretty steady. To avoid the 'cotton mouth' feel, I generally use Walmart spearmint lozenges as I vape. Dry mouth and throat do not seem to be a problem. Oddly enough, I hadn't smoked in over 15 years and always missed it. vaping seems to be the ideal solution. No smell, no headachy feeling caused by smoke, and a total nicotine satisfaction. Maybe I have a high tolerance level but, for me, the higher strengths really do the trick. I only vape at home, relaxing in front of the TV. I feel no need to do it when I am out and about. Has anyone else out there tried the higher strengths and feel the same way?

I did start out with a high strength e juice but it gave me a "cloudy, unfocused headachy" feel. I'm still not quite sure that it wasn't due to the pg in my mixes then.
I don't care to repeat that experiment to find out it was pretty awful!:p
So now I usually just use an 18 mg nicotine juice.

I just got some 48mg marbo from somewhere, and my head was pounding for a while. Now I either mix it or just use it when I really need the nic fix. I'm brand new to this so I'm still test driving. I don't think I could do the 48mg all day but it helps me when I'm craving the real thing. When I'm just sitting in front of the TV I use 18mg and maybe drip a few drops of 48mg's for a kicker.

You might be better off reducing the nic strength to a the lowest level that still satisfies you.

As you haven't smoked for 15 years, it shouldn't be as high as you are using now. That level is normally only suggested for people with strong cravings, and even then, only while the craving lasts.

There is no point in getting back into something you haven't really missed for a long time, in your position I'd be taking it down to 6mg or something. You can always hit the strong stuff occasionally when you feel you need it.

As a former pack & a half to 2 pack a day smoker (Marlboro red 100) for 20+ yrs, I thought I'd need TH and relatively high nic (at least 18mg) juice to stay away from analogs when I started vaping. Boy, was I wrong!!!

I use a KR808D (I really need my PV to be as similar in size & shape of an analog as possible - and this model fits the bill for me). The "high" nic carts that came with my first kit were 18 mg and so strong that I can't even take a less than 1 sec hit without coughing my lungs out. Fortunately, I had called the company & asked them to mix up the nic levels in the flavor variety pack when I ordered because I wasn't sure what I'd end up using. The "med' nic cartos (12 mg?) were almost as strong as the "high." I didn't get any "low" nic cartos but I killed a 0mg menthol in just a few hrs because it was the only one I could handle. I believe these were all PG juices. I'd also ordered some 80/20 PG mixes from another supplier too so while I waited for those to come in, I just kept doing the best I could with what I had (and still smoking analogs - but only about 1/2 pack a day).

The 80/20 PG mixes were actually a higher nic (24mg) since I ordered them before I even tried the others but they're not as harsh on the throat, probably because of the PG. They're still a little strong, though, and I tend to vape all day long (love the flavors), so I ordered a bunch more juice from yet another supplier, this time 60/40 mix with 6mg nic and I'm hoping that turns out to be right for me (I don't have them yet).

What I've learned is that TH is NOT working for me, even as a former "heavy" smoker (that surprised me), that I should actually go with less nic than I otherwise would have thought because I'm vaping a lot more than I was smoking and that TH seems to be a combination of nic level and PG/VG level (and, from what I read, the flavor as well), which means a lot of experimenting with small amounts of different juices to get it right.
