First off let me take this opportunity to thank everyone at mad vapes, they are a class act.

Ok, after having the E-Power for a couple of days, I have a few questions.

Can you charge the E-Power with an Ego charger? I have searched for an answer to this for two days. Didn't even find a post asking It.

Can you safely use unprotected batteries in it?

How sturdy are the switches? Do I need a spare?

I have the epower from madvapes. I havent tried the ego charger but the kit comes with a battery charger so no need to. I have only used protected batteries because ive heard of the problems with unprotected but i believe they work with the e-power. As for the switch, I bought an extra one but havent needed it yet and Ive been using it for a couple months. So far so good. Its my favorite pv so far.

I've never seen unprotected 14650's but if they are available, I'm sure they would work just fine. As for using a standard eGo charger, I would definitely NOT attempt it. You'll most likely fry the switch unit. I've been using my e Power for a few months without any problems but...I have several other mods that I use so the e Power isn't in constant operation. It wouldn't hurt to have another switch laying around just in case.

Thanks for the replies/info

IMR 14650's have been available for awhile. They are a little safer chemistry but they are not protected. Just not sure yet if this E-Power has additional protection in the switch assembly.

I have several Li-Ion chargers so I don't need to use the Ego charger, but wanted to know for sure if damage would occur if the wife accidently screwed one on hers.

My switch has been a little sticky since my original post, so I will grab a couple of them when MV's gets them in stock.

I have various mods now but the ePower is my first one after a costly pos starter ecig mistake. I carry it to work every weekday and have used the AW 14650 battery in it often. I would use the IMR but haven't yet, as the blue ones at MadVapes work great and last well. I cannot feel good about recommending an unprotected battery to others, even if I'd personally do so though.

I bought an extra switch but have not needed it. I have cleaned my button with an eye glasses wipe and once or twice with rubbing alcohol and a Qtip when it felt sticky. Still works fine on an almost daily basis since the end of July. I do use others a lot in the evening, different V and different flavors, and on weekends.

I highly recommend a back up switch, just in case. Wouldn't want someone to have to be tempted to smoke while waiting on one, or on batteries either one.
