I'm ready to place yet another order from madvapes. I'm considering buying a Maxi RoughStack to add to my collection but the e-Power has caught my eye as well. I already have a Midi Vapestack and an extension sleeve but it doesn't fit the 18650's. The Maxi is more versatile and replacement parts are easily found. I've heard mixed reviews for the e-Power but most folks really like it. It seems like a great deal considering that it comes with 2 batteries, charger and two atty's that I can use with other pV's that I have. I'm so confused! I was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions on the matter? Thanks!

I have both...
The e-power looks nicer with its cone and everything. I think the biggest battery size available for it is 1300 mah. The threads are squeeky, but that's the only complaint I have with it. I ended up giving it to my husband.

I love my Maxi Roughstack. I don't use it in public because it looks a little rough/unrefined. Other than that it's a quality device, and I love the 2400mah 18650 battery life.

WWTAD? (What would Tim Allen do?)

He'd look at the e-Power and say "You know what this thing needs? More POWER!".

Just kidding, but I keep getting bigger batteries and think MY next step will be the Maxi Roughstack for the 18650 and the 2K+ mah. I just got the V2 roughstack yesterday, am very happy with it, and look forward to getting the long tube to try 6V vaping and maybe 5V depending on how long it'll be before MadVapes comes out with their 5V pack.

I also think it depends on what you have now and what you think you'll be interested in in the future. They also have kits for the V2 and the Maxi Roughstack that come with atties, batts and a charger. If you figure out what mods you might want in the future you may already have the batts to get started.

One thing to consider is the e-power description says it only supports attys 2.0 ohms and up, so if you want to go lower, or at least have the option, you might want to go with the Roughstack.

I appreciate everyone's input and I made my decision......(drum roll please)......I ordered the Maxi RoughStack and have no regrets! Now all I have to do is impatiently wait for it:( At least I have a previous order that should be arriving tomorrow...some new CE2 XL's and a few other odds and ends. Thanks!

Wow...I feel yer pain. I like the E-Power. Just cause it looks more like an ecig. You have alot to think about. Just figure out what you are REALLY looking for. You'll decide what is best for you. Keep this in mind...after yer purchase....what will be easiest for you...the E-Power or the RS? Cause...YOU have to vape it day in and day out....

Keep in mind also...that what ever you choose....will your curiosity for the other be satisfied?..

Hhhhmmmmmmm.........

how long should I expect the 18650 batt to last, I have two now that are green when I put them on charger but when I put them in the maxi they dont work, the device is working cause I do have one batt that does make it work, does this mean the other two are dead even though they show fully charged??? and one of those two I have only had for a couple of months the other one is abt 6 months old

I have both...

The Ultafire 18650's that I bought for mine are 3000mah which should be around 30 hours. Never have run it down yet. I always swap out in the morning. The mah rating is usually an hour like a 2400mah will be 24 hours and so forth. Look at your battery and you will know roughly once you see what the mah rating on yours is.
Also...you said your batteries were green. The only green batteries I have from Madvapes were 3V.
If that is the case and you are using 2 batteries instead of one 18650, you are at 6V not 3.7. Not all cartos or attys are for 6V vaping.

Are your 18650s flat top or button top? And, is the nut that holds the switch assembly to the end cap tight? You said you have a battery that works, so the switch is probably working, but if the nut gets loose, the spring can short out and cause intermittent problems.

They are button top trustfires, the nut is tight, and I have recently switched out the straw around the spring due to previous shorting out problems, I just thought if the battery was dead it would not turn the charger green as if it is fully charged. am I wrond about that?

It would be unusual for a pair of 18650s to die at the same time, but if they won't accept a charge (or perhaps if their overcharge protection circuits are blown), the charger light might go green like when it has no battery on it. -- If it was only one battery, I would for sure say that batt is a goner. But two of them seems unusual. I lose a battery now and again, and I've had bad luck and lost more than a couple in a week, but I've never lost a pair of 18650s at the same time.

My only advice is to buy one more 18650 and maybe the $5.00 single batt charger from madvapes. I can confirm it charges all sorts of 18650s (Trustfires, Ultrafires, AWs, IMR High Drains - you name it), and the trustfire at madvapes is inexpensive. -- the worst thing that can happen is you end up with an extra battery and charger.

I really like 3.7v roughstack (not tumbled).
306 atty works great; draw much lighter than analog.
306 1.7ohm produces great vape w/ 3-6 sec toot.
306 2.5ohm produces good vape w/ longer toot.
I suspect 2.5ohm is more durable.
306 1.7ohm clearly out performs 2,5ohm atty w/ 3.7 volts.
No joy w/ dual coil cart yet.

I would recommend roughstack to newbies and veterans.
Much easier to use than analog simulators.
Still nice to have hands free M401 (or joye 306?) in tool kit.
