Okay, I'm debating now about moving away from a standard looking e-cig, I like the elegant shape and like letting it rest in my mouth, but i'm considering the e-power for longer batt life and perhaps a better vaping experience. But with the weight I know it's not going to hang in my mouth :)

I'm just wondering what you'all think.

Epower is 3.7v, 510 is around 3.3 volt

I don't own an EPower

Every 510 atty or carto you currently use will be hotter on E-power. Ditto on the Riva 510 kits at Liberty-Flights.com (the latest model from that manufacturer and 3.7v). The E-power may hold the voltage up better since I think it uses bigger batteries than Riva (dunno), but the Riva seems to hold the voltage up a bit better than my 3.7v mod box's single 14500.

Also, on 510 xl you should only be using standard resistance attys and cartos (2.5 ohm and up). On any big battery model 450mah+ you can use down to 2 ohms and many use down to 1.7, some go as low as 1.5. But some will only use those very low ohms below 2 on mods like EPower and other mods with cheap removable industrial batteries - easier to see battery damage wen you take them out to charge them, cheaper to replace. The low ohms stuff is hotter (as well as using battery charge faster)

The 510 XL is 280 mAh, e-power batts start at 1,000 mAh, will last 4x as long, less charging. Money wise, cheaper to own bigger batts since they all die between 200-300 charges and you get many more hours each charge, especially $5 e-power batts. I don't know about the length difference, but the e-power or any eGo will be much wider. As for which look you prefer, each person's different.

I was using regular 510s and bought Rivas (eGo clone) instead of getting 510 XL batts, still have 510s as backup, just me. I may stay with Rivas or go to e-power next, but I may bring 510s out just for looks. :)

It won't be "hotter" but it will be warmer, more like the real thing. The E-Power will last much longer on a charge and be more consistent. It will also save you a good bit of money in the long run because the batteries only cost $4-$5 each and last 5 time longer than 510, XL's, eGo and Riva's.

Get the E-Power, most definitely.

My suggestion is to keep both. I skipped the Ego-Riva's and went to a mod after starting with 510's. I love my GLV2 sm but still regularly reach for my 510's every day. Sometimes I just like the feel of them as opposed to something bigger and they still provide a nice vape.

It's like having the best of both worlds! :vapor:

Sometimes, I actually like the cooler, more gentle vape of the 510. I swear the juice flavor is different than on a Riva, could be sentimentality.

I think a lot of us will agree with you on that. I think that's the big reason vv's are becoming so popular. You just dial your wattage to your juice and make a fog lol. I tend to like relative cool vapor with good flavor, and I'm usually pretty happy with dripping in a 2.5 ohm atty or using a 2.5 ohm ce2. But I've also tried the duel coil cartos and I think they add a very slight bit of TH that I actually like on a couple of my juices but on other juices, not so much.

..... And when you start buying batteries you'll notice the difference in price real quick.

I'm thinking of picking up a sleeve so I can use the 14500 battery. My wife already uses them in her cell phone and they're about 3 bucks a piece or less in lots of four. They're rated for up to 1,000 recharges and while that's probably not going to happen, the ones she's using do seem to last forever.

I love my ePower with the DC but found the R4 clear cartos to be a bit of pain to fill. Some juices taste better in one and some in the other. I also have a little 3-5.5 VV box mod that a few juices work better in. I am in my experimental phase and shopping waaaaaay too much! LOL I think the longevity and quick battery swap for my ePower is a huge factor in it being my main take along.

Maybe another option to consider, Hoosier E-cigs have an 18650 version of the E-Power. He is expecting 5V switches in the next 2 weeks so you could use the 4.8V NiMH batteries in it. His 'Barebones' version is only $25, 3.7V, and I get a full day out of an 18650 in it running a dual coil.... it's big, but I have big hands so I don't mind that too much :)

I don't necessarily need a VV, but it would be nice if I have 6 510 batts chained together. I don't suppose they sell a low volt e-power.
