E-Suggestions for a Hookah Smoker

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and although there is a wealth of information here, I feel completely overwhelmed with the
many devices and mods, and I'm not sure what to buy. There seems to be tens of attys, cartos, tanks, batteries, kits,
drip tips, etc, and I need your help.

I am a heavy bona-fide and certified hookah/sheesha Arabian water pipe smoker. I love it, and I smoke it daily. The smoke that it produces can be described like this:

- Full of flavor.
- Thick and dense.
- Lots of smoke. Clouds upon clouds.
- Smooth smoke with no harshness or burn.
- Smoke is cool going in and out. Does not feel hot in temp.
- The flow is free, and requires very little effort to drag.
- Drags are long and enjoyable.

*I generally smoke menthol and fruity flavors.

I would like to replace this habit with vaping if possible. I prefer something with a Loooong battery life, and I prefer
something cylindrical over something like looks like a pocket alcohol flask. I should also mention that I live in Canada
where I have limited access to nic e-juices, but I'm open to diy juice ideas.

Are there any PV's or e-cig's that vape/smoke in a similar fashion or can give me a similar smoking experience?
Can you please recommend something for me? Feel free to suggest mods, and delivery methods.

If I understand correctly you are not using nicotine? If this is so then you can purchase VG USP from a Pharmacy or Walmart and special order PG from a Pharmacy and then just add flavors. No laws against non nic juice. As for a PV it all depends on your wallet- you can spend anywhere from $50- $300.00. I have 2 tube Mods and the workhorse, the Megalodon, lasts 24 hrs on on 1 battery. BUT I would also have to worry about carrying cartomizers filled with juice. There's also a new PV out called the Lavatube which is getting mixed reviews. Here;s a Cdn vendor that sells it cheap. If you do purchase something I would reco you buy from an ECF listed vendor as they operate here under a strict code of ethics and members will call them out if they do not provide good service and/ or products.

P.S. By the sounds of what you desire you need to look at Mods. With my Don or Provari I get lots of vapor and TH. The Lavatube is a VV (variable volt) which means you can adjust the amount of power/ vape you need. They are working on a VV Megalodon but it's not out yet.

Thanks for the reply Vapoor eyes er. The Lava Tube looks perfect, and a lot of people have been saying great things about Canvape. I currently use a really cheap and crappy nu-smoke e-cig, which i believe is a China clone or some sort. It came with 5 cartridges, and let me tell you ..

I absolutely HATE IT. All the flavors taste like burn. The battery dies in minutes, and the smoke has only 2 levels: either non-existent or harsh and burnt depending on how hard and long I drag. They are non-nic cartridges and I hope I will find some nic juices soon, but at this point, I just want to decide if vaping is for me or not, and I don't want to base this decision on this rather unpleasant experience. I do have VG at home. I will have to look for some PG around.

You're welcome. If you want a warm vape I'd suggest using LR dual resistance cartos 1.5- 2.0). If you get a LT then you can use these cartos. Attys are also very nice for lots of vapor and TH but are a pain in the .... IMHO.
Here's a great vendor, quality prices and possibly the most highly regarded vendor in Canada. A realy cool dude that treats his customers really well. Check his Clearnace are. One last note. Christmas is almost here so take that into consideration in regards to ordering. Also if buying extra batts make sure you get the right ones.

LOL When you do order your PV remember this info about batts:
on a single coil carto 100 mah= 1 hour vaping
on a dual coil carto 1 00 mah= 1/2 hour vaping
It's recommended that we charge the batts when they're at 25%- they'll last longer.

Mind you, I will most probably run some sort of plumbing tube to my mouth from the PV eventually. LOL

What is the real difference between single coil and dual coil cartos? More vapor? Hotter vapor?
And can I adjust the voltage anywhere between 3v - 6v using either?

Someone will come along and post some real technical stuff but basically you have 2 elements vaporizing the juice thus more vapor and TH and LH (Lung Hit)
More vapor? Hotter vapor?
Lower resistance gives a warmer vape but research to see what resistance cartos can be used with the LT.

Yes but there is a cutoff feature within the LT and if the carto isn't the right size it cuts out/ doesn't work.
Also make absolute sure you order condoms- some cartos come without them and they are a must have. Here's a pic- the opaque rubber caps are called condoms.

Thanks for the info. I heard of the cutoff feature in the LT. You may have seen me post this on a different thread, but I was planning on using this (Smoktech 6ml Tank Dual Coil Cartomizer) with the LT. I wonder if this will trip up the cutoff in the LT.
When you say the cutoff feature kicks in if the carto is not the right size, are we talking dimensions here or thread radius or resistance?

Oh I also wanted to post an update on my Nu-smoke e-cig. I finally figured out what the cartridges taste like. They all taste and smell like burnt flux (as in solder flux), and I've done a lot of soldering to know exactly what that smells like. I wonder if I'm just taking dry hits or burnt plastic or burnt polyester.

I don't use cartridges only cartomizers. I use attys for testing juices so I don't ruin a carto if I don't like the juice. Many manufacturers are now using solder free cartos. Reasons for burnt taste are probably not filling properly. Give me a few minutes to find a post of mine with videos on how I fill them- no fuss, no mess, no wasted juice.

Edit: Here's how I fill them. First go to Walmart and purchase an Oral Med Dispenser ($2.00):
Clearcoat it with nail polish and you can use it for DIY juice measuring later.

Next use the condom method to fill carto- 2nd half of this vid



Next attach the carto to the cone supplied with the Dispenser- tie a length of string to the cone. Next do the Taryn Spin WITH a condom on the bottom/ batt end- first half of above vid.
Finally wipe off carto and drip 2-3 drops of juice into the top of carto and you're done.

I've never tried smoking that method with tobacco or any other type of flavors. I have however used a water pipe for other smoking years and years ago.

I would love to have a unit that is small enough to put on my belt (modified pouch or something with belt loop) and use a rubber or flexible pipe to my mouth. That would be perfect for when I'm at work and scrubbing floors.

If anyone ever gets something like this, please post pics and vids. That would be awesome for Hookah Smokers and those of us that do not get a smoke/vape break and are not able to use their hands to hold a unit to their mouth while they work can have some hope. If this has been done already, please link to video of use and also pics.

Once I get flavors of juice I like, this would be awesome to use while at work. Wasn't sure what the thing was called but have seen them being used, mainly in Arabian countries.
