I just ordered some as well. I couldn't resist that 30% off Womanofheart mentioned. I've not used these before so I was wondering if they need to be cleaned out when you first get them. I've read somewhere that they do. If so, what is the proper cleaning procedure?

I've not come across any lately that were filled with primer, better safe then sorry though flushem out and do a quick dry burn.

Can you do a dry burn with a 510 manual battery? Right now I only have auto batteries and I don't want to suck on them dry... I don't think I would like the vapor :( I ordered a 510 manual battery out of curiousity anyway.

Of course I could blow into it from the battery (LED) end... Is there issues doing that?

I've had nothing but bad luck with these cartomizers. I got 2 packs of E-2 R4 2.5 ohm. All 5 that I have tried worked fine for about 15 minutes then gave me a horrible burnt taste. I've tried them on every 3.7 device I have as well as my riva, ego, inferno and my old school 901. I just can't get one to work. I wish they would work because I love the concept of them. Now they only way they work is if I drip in them every 5 minutes.

I have read that other people had this problem with the earlier versions but not so much with the latest. Sounds like you are running them dry. Mine taste like crap if I let them get dry. I have also found that they work best on my VV at 4.5 to 5 volts. The ones I have are 2.5 ohms.

Draining these things has got to be pretty easy too. I imagine I just stick the syringe back in and remove the fluid. I modify flavors a lot and sometimes I don't want to waste juice (I remix it into something else). With the regular cartos I had to tie a string to the battery connector end and put a cart condom on the other end and spin the hell out of them... it was a pain, sometimes the string gave way and sent my carto flying.

The 2.5ohm CE2 V4 on a 3.7V bat seems to wick slow (gives that burnt taste), however 3.0 ohm on 3.7V bat wicks fine (great for when you can't drip - i.e. driving). Refilling with a blunt syringe is a breeze. On the 1st fill, be sure to remove the silicon from the blunt needle as it makes the hole wider on the 1st poke and removes a small cross section of silicon.

Thanks for the info. I actually plan on PTB modding them so hopefully I shouldn't have any wicking issues. I'm still new to vaping so I'm not sure how many volts my batteries are.... a 3.7v? Is that a standard 510 or 4081 type battery? That's what I currently have, both are automatic and I have a 510 megabattery coming with my shipment of e2 cartos.

Well, I got my e2s on monday, and I must say that I was throughly dissappointed. All the negative things I read about.... I experienced! Wicking issues, burnt taste, and lack of taste. I tried everything... soaked, dry burned, PTB modded them, rinsed and repeated.

I almost threw them away, but decided that I would invest a couple more dollars and do the syringe mod. I wasn't too sure about this because I'm not mechanically inclined and as much as I love DIY projects, I usually fail.

Anyway... Success! (mostly) My mint mixes are awesome in these things, but the coffee flavors are harsh. It was easier than I thought and I love seeing the juice and knowing when to refill. I was getting sick of burning up filler. I am learning that I have to vape differently with these (short taps on my 510 as opposed to holding and inhaling). I read that they are working on r5, hopefully they won't need to be modded to be usable.
