Dilemma time: So I was unscrewing the little gnarled nubbin piece to unlock my Electric Angel, twisted a little too far and broke the little clip that sits inside the tube on the far side of the post... Now the spring or button itself won't stay inside the mod, making it unusable..

Suggestions? This little clip is literally 1mm long, I would like something permanent that won't pop out cause I'll lose the spring for sure, or else I'd try a teeny tiny O-Ring.

Seriously pleading for help here, just bought it off the Classies for $115 and don't want it to be money wasted.. Thanks.

That Sir, is Fantastic! lol, thanks a lot man, have you by chance changed these clips? This little clip actually came out in one piece, but I was too stubborn to leave it at that and tried for an hour to reinsert it back in there, thus breaking it..

Any tips for getting tiny said piece onto the button on the inside of the tube? (working inside the tube was the difficult part)

Edit: No Home Depot close to me in my Podunk town, you think a Lowes would carry such a thing? And which department would have it? Thanks again..

Ok, Google answered half of my question, found some local suppliers, now to figure out how to insert / install without having to buy a 25 dollar tool..

You can unscrew that brass insert from the body of the mod. It's in pretty tight, so do it with care. I wrapped a little towel around the threads on the inside and gave it a nice jerk with pliers and it screwed out easy as pie. It's that initial force you want to take care with so you don't damage the brass.

Once you get that out, assembling the button is much easier. E-clips require no tools (unlike c-clips) so just hold everything together and push it on. It takes a little pressure to get on, but it'll hold nice and firm.

Oh, and those kinds of clips are usually in the area with screws and bolts and nuts and those things.

DOn't attempt to replace the little clip while the button assembly is inside the tube. Unscrew the button barrel from the tube, assemble the button outside the tube, and then screw the assembled button back into the tube. The e-Clip I used to replace the one I lost from my own EA Mod is a 1/8" (3.2mm), available at most any hardware, Lowes, Home Depot, etc..

After some experimentation, I discovered the easiest way to put the e-Clip on is with needlenose pliers ... if you'll notice, the button shaft has a little groove at the end that the clip slips in to ... assemble the switch and hold the button in so that little groove is just fully exposed beyond the end of the button barrel. Set the e-Clip onto the groove, resting against the end of the button barrel. Put one tip of the needlenose on top of the clip and the other tip of the needlenose under the button shaft opposite the e-Clip. Now squeeze and the e-Clip should pop right into the little groove.
