Eagerly awaiting my first PV!

First off, I haven't even gone digital yet and I am absolutely enamored with the concept and subculture of vaping.

I am a pack and a half daily smoker for 12 years now, pretty constantly. My Joye Ego starter kit should be here tomorrow or, god forbid I have to wait another 24 hours, the day after. I hope to god it comes partially charged so I may start immediately.

I am already stalking the mailman, contemplating massive juice orders, 5v mods, and plan ordering alternative PVs for on-the-go vaping(kr808d-1 w/ cartos).

I have gone up to about 2 and a half packs daily since I ordered my kit, out of sheer anticipation.

I actually had a nightmare last night, that not only did I not like vaping, but I had a severe PG allergy. I woke up sweating and smoked an analog:))Can't help but smile!). Scary stuff.

I love you guys and appreciate this forum!

Hey there!

A future welcome and congrats to the world of vaping! I started myself last week, and I've enjoyed every second of being "analog free!"

I was a 1/1.5 pack-a-day smoker for about 4 years (silly, considering I made it through 34 years of being around smokers and smoking parents to start so late in life, but "whaddyagonnado?"), and haven't thought about taking a toke since starting. I've loved every liberating second of it.

We have the same units: I also got a Joye eGo kit, and I'm considering getting a 1000 mAh passthrough batt in the near future for my higher-voltage needs...you're basically vaping a 5V when you vape while charging through a USB port (or so I'm told). Even if this is a fallacy, a friend of mine vaped for almost 3 days straight on one charge with that monster of a battery! Only drawback I can fathom is having a 7-or-so inch PV!

I don't think I'm allergic to PG myself, but my friend is, so I've basically become a VG vaper because of it...I like the idea of vaping something that is completely food grade, and being able to tell naysayers that I'm in no way vaping antifreeze, lol. Of course, I could just wait until they take a big bite of their Duncan Hines cake and explain their ingesting what they thought I was vaping. :)

I would suggest that when you get the kit you do some of the housekeeping things you'll need to do to enjoy your experience: like cleaning your atomizers before vaping, charging your battery fully, etc., etc. I was lucky to be around my vaping buddy who let me use one of his batteries while I waited for a full charge. Trust me...your patience will certainly be rewarded.

I hope you enjoy the journey...here's to non-smelly clothes and cars!

Here are some words of advice, if I may. I like to share this because it worked so well for me. For me, I didn't decide to 100% stop analogs when my first PV was on the way. I had planned to just start vaping, and smoke analogs when I wanted to. This eliminated ALL of that stress that comes with thinking about not ever smoking a real cigarette again. When my kit arrived, I was absolutely amazed at the whole concept. The gigantic plumes of vapor, the flavors, and how it satisfied my craving. I still had a pack of analogs out in the car, so I never worried about that. But honestly, I never went back to analogs from that very first hit of vapor!! I was a smoker for around 20 years. With the help of fellow ECFers, it was just so simple to make the transition. Please take all this with a grain of salt :p

I wish you the very best of luck!!
