Ear Aches

Okay, this might sound lame, but I recently went to my eye dr. (eyes have been getting pretty bad for two years now. Glaucoma, presbyopia astigmatism and cataracts) which really stinks , since I was a sniper in the military and I could shoot the hair off a fly's .... at a thousand yards.

But I digress, I noticed a small growth on my bottom eye lid. Just a small zit like thing, never had a zit in my life so I asked the doc if the new drops he put me on for the glaucoma may have caused a reaction. He said " No" said it was a sebatious syst (spelling is probably wrong here.

but I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar reaction.

I started vapin about two months ago, had a decidedly unpleasant reaction to pg (red tongue sensitive palate. Minor stuff, so I switched to vg and this thing appears.

So I'm scheduled for eye surgery in a week. Kinda scary cause unfortunately the glaucoma went long enough to cause about 70% blindness in one eye which I will never get back. and the other eye aint much better. he's gonna remove some cataract and probably drill a hole in my eye to releive the pressure from the glaucoma. Surgery could go either way.

Prayers are welcome. and if anyone else has gotten this syst thing, please let me know, I'm trying to rule out meds , vapeing etc.

Ok, sorry for the long boo hoo post. Just wanted to hear what others have or haven't experienced as far as the cyst goes.

It's funny, but I had to go to the doctors in my first week of vaping to have big wax chunks water blasted out of my ears. I don't think it had anything to do with vaping. I've had to have that done before while smoking analogs. Seems like every 2-3 years I need to have my ears flushed out.

The doc of course asked about smoking, and I showed her my e-cig, mentioned to her that I was on my 1st week with it and had cut back from 2 packs per day to 5 cigs per day. It was the first time I've ever been to a doctor and not gotten "the lecture"

My husband got a similar oddity, a small zit just underneath his eye. If I recall correctly, it started just after we quit smoking a few years ago. Don't remember the exact term, but the doctor did say it was a cyst. The said we could do surgery, but unless it affected his eyesight, it was unnecessary. He also recomended warm compresses? when they showed up. So, when they ocassionally rear their ugly heads you will find my husband with a warm wet rag pressed against his face. It may or may not have something to do with quiting smoking, but he does not vape (yet), and he has not picked up a cigarette in almost 3 years now.

I should add that our doctor told us under absolutely no circumstance should he try and "pop" it.

Today I have been off analogs for 1 month and during the first couple of weeks I had a sore throat/gummy throat feeling and my ears felt plugged. I just attributed it to quitting smoking and that my lungs were busy working at trying to clear the crap out from over 25 years of smoking.

I am no expert, nor am I trying to pretend to be, but it did go away after a couple of weeks.

my doc said the same thing about not trying to pop it. So.........I did it wouldn't pop though , but it hasn't gotten any worse from it. I guess I'll see what happens on friday when I go in for the surgery.
