Ear issues

I've been vaping for three months now and have had earaches in both ears most of the last 2 months. I chalked it up to sinus/weather/ cig quit, but now read about vaping and ear issues. Not sure if that is fact or fiction. Anyone have any evidence? It makes sense that the vapor circulates through the sinuses. I would hate to give up vaping. I haven't been to see my doctor yet as I'm afraid he will tell me to quit vaping.

I honestly don't know if it is related to vaping but I had never had an ear ache ever in my life and I have one now about once a month. It doesn't last long and I also thought it was allergies. It will be interesting so see if others have had issues.

I've had ear problems my whole life, 11 minor and 2 major surgeries, countless infections, and I got a hole in my eardrum that was fixed once when I was 13 and blew out again 8ish years ago...

I have been vaping off and on for 9 months and 100% since Jun 21 and have had no issues as of yet

I haven't had ear aches but my ears will pop now and then and all of a sudden I can hear miraculously. Then it goes back to me saying "huh" and "what". It's either vaping or my extremely loud stereo in my car. I am leaning towards thrash metal and the stereo but I hate doctors so it probably remain a mystery.

I have never seen this issue before on a vaping forum. I'd go see a doctor. Sounds like a mild infection.

I've had ear problems all my life too. But they went away when I stopped smoking ad started vaping. 2 weeks to the one year mark and nt a single earache. KOW.

While I would not say it is a substitute for medical attention if you are trying to stay away from the Dr's office you could always try switching to pg free e-liquids and see if your symptoms subside or decrease.

A little ringing now and then from a bit to much nic but that is about the extent. Got the same thing off Smokes when over doing it.

Ears can easily be effected by sinus conditions and mucous.

Vaping can cause ear irratation. Usually the act of yawning helps mine. 3 years ago I would get ear aches from vaping if I didn't yawn or act like I am yawning for the stretching. ENT ear nose throat. It is all connected.

I notice increased tinnitus when I vape higher PG/Nic juices than my normal MaxVG/3mg juices when I'm mixing DIY for my friends and family. I'm not sure whether it is the higher nic or the PG but definitely notice it.

So now I am thinking it could very well be too much PG and my gear does have a tight draw! I'm going to open up the air on my tanks and vape more of my higher VG juice and see if there is a difference!

nope.... if the itching was in the wrists, then yes... hmmm interesting, do you vape PG? maybe PG is ankle related and VG is wrist related... I vape 100VG juices

Who was the DJ on twitter who claimed ear problems were the result of vaping? I think this is the only case I've heard of where someone claimed that vaping caused ear issues. He also roundly ignored and or blocked everyone who stated anything to the contrary. Rob Swire. I'm not linking him, because I don't like him, but feel free to look it up for yourself.

Also, fog machines use PG. if this was the cause.... he might be in the wrong profession lol.

It could be underlying dental problems that's causing the earache.

I'd get it checked out by a doctor as it's been going on for so long. Two months is not normal.

Ur ear problem can be directly related to
A. Ur own genetics, ask ur parents, grandparents and siblings, see if they have similar problems
B. Things u did such as but not limited to swimming and damaging ur ear drums, my teacher in hs turned deaf in one ear because she swim too deep and forgot to blow out or something and damaged her ear permanently
C. The loudness of music u listen to

Because i dont see how vaping can do anything to ur ears...totally different areas of ur head... But then again i welcome ppl to prove me wrong otherwise

I doubt that will happen.

But I sure wouldn't trade my ears/hearing for ........... anything.

I would go to doc. Peace of mind and all that, get to bottom of problem.
