We in the East were so traumatized by today's earthquake that it only seems fair that we have a big bottle sale to soothe our frazzled nerves. I had some rather distressing damage from this quake:

I left a new big bottle of purecig in my pantry to oxygenate and it tipped over. I recovered about a quarter of it so it wasn't a total loss but close. Who ever heard of earthquakes in the northeast? Must be a 2012 thing.

It wasnt that bad, Im just happy I wasnt at ground zero because I imagine it could have been worse. There have been earthquakes on the east coast for a long time, the most recent one around 07/16/10. Which I was told I slept through~DC Earthquake 2010: Magnitude 3.6 Quake Shakes Washington Area

I hope you are all ok! Thinking of you all.

And Thomas: if you look in the stickies, there is a 20% off sale right now, along with the chance to win prizes. Get that purecig replaced, my boy!

With the exception of my purecig we are more than okay. It was pretty surreal but an interesting experience. I have now been through a tornado, an earthquake, and maybe a hurricane if Irene comes far enough inland. The tornado has been the most terrifying so far. I hate the winters in the north but am glad to be out of the southeastern tornado alley.

We lived two blocks from the hospital. This video still makes me want to climb under my desk.

Hopefully it turns eastward again. I have been to Philly many times and that area would be devastated if the hurricane comes up the Chesapeake or Cape May. I saw a report that the eye could come as far inland as Lancaster.

Well Irene fizzled out where I live. We had to evacuation, but we could have stayed as the forecast winds had come down, and we knew what to expect on flooding, but my sisterinlaw was a nervous wreck being by herself, so we went. The pyscho kitty was a worse fate than the hurricane. My big guy was a real handul, between the move, the storm, and jealousy over her dog. I had 5 batteries fully charged, and used the hell out of my passthru, but never lost power. Good thing, or I wouldn't have been able to make an order much needed.

Glad to hear everything was OK. I lost power in the DC area around midnight on Saturday and it just came on a hour ago! I also lost a big chunk of a nice shade tree in the front yard. Oh well. Nice to hear that most made it through safe!

That's bad enough Padre and I'm happy to hear it wasn't any worse that what you had to go through.

Really glad to hear your okay. That's the big thing!
