Easier ways to clean my ego-T atty than the dry burn method?

I personally own a ego-T 650 mah and another 1000 mah. I love the heck out of them.

That is until I start getting that funky taste in my mouth and figure it is time to clean out the atomizer. I tried a method on Youtube i saw in which a guy demos with white vinegar and baking soda it seemed effective. I did let the atty dry at least 48 hours, This time didn't seem to work, got that same funky, burnt taste. I use the "naked" brand of e-liquid no flavor like coffee or any of that.

I have heard about the dry burn method of cleaning the attys, trouble is it looks kind of tedious. It is n;t that I don't have the patience for this method, I'm just afraid I might screw it up.

Now I also heard of a guy using canned air (like you clean your pc keyboard with) and having success, I have never tried that, if it works I will be happy to pick up some... I have also heard of people using vodka. I just wish I could find a better method.

I may just purchase a new atty, but I think cleaning them is a better way to have more $$$ in your pocket.

Any suggestions please? Thanks:unsure:

I use cheap 151 proof vodka - filtered, uncolored, unflavored Galen's @$12 a fifth. Soak the atty for about 30 minutes blow out by mouth and vape. Puff (no inhale) the first few draws....

Vinegar leaves a funky taste imo and canned air has a bitterant that coats the metal parts. Isopropyl Alc. needs rinsing with water - also can leave a 'flavor' . Vodka needs no 'rinsing'.... For people that don't like to use vodka, Crest mouthwash - no alcohol type works as well but it's 'minty' for a while. Ok if you're vaping menthol...

I did a google search for galen's...hope its not hard to find. But there are like 15 liquor stores in my town,LOL

Now, you don't have to dry it out after you soak it? I'm gonna try this this afternoon, thanks!

I leave it out on a paper towel for a bit. The high proof aspect of the vodka tends to evaporate quickly. I'll still blow it out by mouth when I first take it out of the vodka but no - it doesn't have to be totally dry.

I'm a noob to all this...

Would a burnt taste be able to be fixed by cleaning the atty? Or is just when you get bad/bland flavor when vaping?

The burnt taste comes from either the gunk on the coil or on the wick or both. Clean the coil and wick well and the burnt taste goes away. The only exception being cartos where you've burnt the filler or the sock that the coil is wrapped in. If you burn those, then you have to throw the carto away. One reason I don't use cartomizers...

I just blow out juice, swish in boiling water, blow out water and leave to dry for a day. My ego-t ovale and the TAWA both lasted 8 moths doing this I posted a thread here on how it boggles my mind how complicated people get. i think it works simply as I do it AS SOON AS I notice performance issues so get no major gunk over time.
