OK, obvously the 510 batterys are crapola I've figured this out by now, going to my wall plug every few hours.

What is the best simple battery mod to get it to last.. say 1 day? I am sick of going out with the AC adapter stuck in my pocket, or charing two batteries and being afraid to be out too long incase I run out of power!

Ive been trying to figure out the same thing myself..Im thinking about going with a Joye Stick V3..they run on bats that look similar in size to double AA (not the same though) and while they are not made for 510..I would get the adapter so i could use my 510 attys.. They are small, will fit in ur pocket comes with basically a usb charger/passthrough and its not to expensive for a first mod.. Thinking about starting small and easy before i buy a big 6volt mod.. will be interested in what others have to say...

The Ego is kinda a middle ground between a standard e-cig battery and a mod. Battery charge life is measured in mah (miliamp hours). The standard 510 is about 150mah and the Ego is rated at 600mah, I believe. However there are tons of mods out there that use batts like a 14500 (900mah) up to an18650 (2400mah to 3000mah). I can vape pretty constantly on an 18650 battery mod all day and into the next. there's a list of available mods at E-cig News: A run-down of all the big battery model e-cigarettes on the market (I hope that link works)
If you don't care if your PV looks like a cigarette then a mod will def. solve any battery life issues. I personally like the Chuck because Jeff (the maker) is a graphics, printing guy and you can send him the image you want on it and have it completely personalized. It takes about a month to get one but the're hand made by Jeff and a sort of one-of-a-kind piece. Pretty cool.
Oh well, good luck and happy vaping.

keep in mind that the capacity ratings of the standard li-ion batteries are mostly overrated.

my ego with 650mAh, keeps the 510 longer alive than any 14500 with ~900mAh.

seems capacity is similar, but with the electronic the ego uses to tact the voltage its batterie delivers longer per charge.

a 18650 is stilll a good amount longer lasting, with real ~2000mAh.

The Joye Stick V3 uses the 10440 battery which is nearly identical in physical size to a AAA battery, NOT a AA battery whose counterpart in the LiIon category would be a 14500. The Stick battery is rated about 100 mah over a standard 510 battery, which is almost insignificant.

Take a longer look at the eGo. It's a MUCH better battery technology.

Thank u..you helped make my mind up and prob saved me some money too:)

I will say this about the 510, it is great and helps to have the PPC also but through out the day I would go through 4 batts easy. I did buy a Ego the other day and wow !!!

I have been testing out alot of DIY e-juice and flavors and with all most non-stop vaping ( 7 hrs with maybe 5 mins inbetween juice cart changing) the Ego batt is the best.

I now keep my wife with 1- 510 batt on charger while she use's the other, and other 4 ( atty's and batts are packed away for back up.Even my 510 in-line i only use to heat the atty's up after I have cleaned them.

Do you have a link to where to get the Tornado Ego? Is it sold anywhere or a specific site?

Looks like this was answered in another thread here in the New Members Forum.
e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/86098-ego.html
(cant link it cause I dont have 15 posts yet).

Here is the site to buy from based on that post:
usa.jantyworld.com/batteries/ego

glad to see I'm not the only one ;)

I would definitely agree with the recommendation of the eGo in response to the OPs question.

If looking at getting a mod I would also add the ProVape-1 to the list. Runs off a 14500 battery which, for me lasts 8 hours, and is a well built device.
