OK, using safe Cigs, and also have one auto, and one manual rn 4081 from az smoke. I figured that as long as a battery screws onto the safe cig adapter, that I could plug the adapter into ANY USB port, whether on any pc, the Safe Cig "USB to wall plug" adapter or even ANY "USB to wall plug adapter", like even the one that came w my phone, or camera. I tought that ALL USB ports that were powered, were ALL powered to 12 volts?
Are different batteries needing totally proprietary chargers, right up to the USB to wall plug" adapter?? Wont they charge w any powered USB, or PC USB?

USB ports are all powered at 5 volts to my knowledge. Wall adapters will provide a varying amount of amperage, however. Although most wall adapters won't deliver enough voltage for a passthrough, I think most any wall to USB adapter should work to charge an ecig. Are you having a problem with interchanging them?

USB is 5V
A PC's motherboard USB is specced to provide 500ma max (except one Mac motherboard port that provides more to charge iPad)

An unpowered USB hub may provide NO power, or may divide the 500ma between all devices connected to it

A powered multiport USB charger may provide up to 7000ma or more

An AC to USB sold for charging an ecig battery, a cell phone, an MP3 player etc may only provide less ma - some of my battery ones only provide 200ma and is meant just for charging the particular slim battery.

A USB to AC I bought provides 2000ma, enough to run an ecig passthrough with an LR atty

So no - AC to USB adapters are not all created equal. Some are too weak to charge some batteries. Ones that have more milliamps or amps than needed are fine - the battery charging cable will only take what it needs.
