How easy was it for you all to switch to ecigs? Im keen to stop the stinky roll-ups i smoke just now, but I'm not fussy about quiting my nic intake. Ecigs seem ideal for me.
I've kinda got it in my head that i will stop smoking analogues as soon as my kit is here and never look back, as i hate the cigarette smell, black phlegm, no breath in my lungs etc. But am i just getting caught up in a fairy talw? Will there still be withdrawls, even if i order high nic juice? I want to know what to expect. Cheers.

Welcome to ECF! If you get the right setup from the beginning, quitting will be MUCH easier. Please don't make the mistake I did by thinking your ecig has to look like a cigarette to fool yourself into thinking you're still smoking. Trust me, if you really want to satisfy the urge to smoke with an ecig, RUN, don't walk away from anything that looks like a real cig. I wasted too much money on the cigalikes and went right back to smoking. That being said, I was a pack a day smoker for 30 years and pretty much quit when I got my Ego Twist and Kanger T3 setup a few months ago. I didn't think I would EVER see the day I wasn't lighting up, but this setup did it for me and I didn't have major withdrawals at all. Of course, everyone is different, but if your juice has enough nicotine (I use 18 mg) that will go a long way towards satisfying the cravings. Best decision I ever made, and sometimes I do feel like I'm living in a fairy tale because the transition was so painless :D

Best of luck to you, and don't hesitate to post any questions. We're here to help!

Cheers, and happy vaping :toast::vapor:

Switching to Ecigs was the easiest thing I ever did..I adapted the very first day and never had an analog since day 1 of Ecigs, 7 months ago after 40 years of 2 packs a day of analogs..I started with 18mg nic juice 80PG/20VG 555 flavor from Mt Baker Vaper with a ego-C 1100a battery and CE4's and T3 clearomizers...hardest thing for me was remembering to recharge the battery every night...no withdrawals, no headaches, no problems...only thing I did notice was a need to drink more liquids because Ecigs will dehyrdate ya and make ya thirsty....Ecigs are the real deal, especially the ego type and not them Blu's and Njoys fake looking analogs that just are a waste of money and don't compare to Ego's and clearomizers..

might have very manageable cravings for a good week or two, cigs have more addictive chemicals added to them at the plants its not just the Nic that is addictive in them, big tobacco dose not want people quitting so whenever they have an excuse they add more addictive crap to them, like the new stuff they spray them with to make them extinguish themselves when they are not being puffed, they could have used something non addictive but of coarse they picked something more addictive then the Nic to use.

also cigs have MAOI's you wont be getting any of that in your vaping so you might have troubles sleeping and have slight elevated stress for a few days/weeks,tho most people have no problems when switching.
a big factor for most is if they ordered a decent device and didnt just buy the cheapest thing they could find,,with vaping you get what you pay for,i started with a kit from BLU it was very frustrating, woth a new battery and carto on it it would only last me about 10 minutes of moderate vapor production they would turn to total junk so i would have to keep switching batterys and carts and cleaning it every few hours...kind of frustrating at an already frustrating time. finally i ended up getting a ego kit that worked much better and i was able to quit cigs no problem with that. these days i have several higher end devices but still find myself using my ego's from time to time:)

but a few good things you can expect if you stick with it are, better breath, clean smelling clothing and car,you will start to get your sense of smell and taste back in a few months and will be surprised at how good things taste and smell after quitting,i really had no idea how much cigs effected taste and smell til i quit.and the most obvious benefit is your breathing,,with in 6 months you will feel like a new person, probably wont get labored breathing going up stairs etc,and you will also start to have a lot more energy its amazing how much cigs beat your body down and how great you will feel once you stop!

once I found the right equipment and juice it was easy... and I smoked 1+ packs a day for 19 years.

I started with a smaller 808 batt the looked like a cig... but that only helped me cut down... I was able to quit when I found the ego... with an lr atty... and dripped... halo freedom, bobas and liquidxpress taboo...

that was about 3.5 years ago

It will be easy, almost miraculous lol.
I can tell u the little things I did.
When I woke up in the morning I grabed
my ecig, after dinner I grabbed my e-cig.
That first cup of coffee was the test, I grabbed my e-cig.
Didnt miss the analog. When I experienced not missing
an analog with my coffee. I knew I had a chance.
Three weeks analog free....................................... :D
The fact that u are here waiting on your kit to arrive.
You are already a non smoker.

Yep, the cigalikes were OK for managing my cravings when I couldn't smoke (like in airports), but when I got off that plane I was running for a smoking area like my life depended on it (Bags?? What bags?)

I switched over night. The key for me was to ensure I had a flavor of juice that I enjoyed and I made sure to take my eVic everywhere I went.
The driving I thought was going to be the hardest part, but it was super easy to vape.
I even kept the half carton of analogs in my backseat for a while just as a test of will (I'm a glutton for punishment).

Everyone's body is different, but I can tell you that I experienced zero withdrawal symptoms and I've never looked back.

For me it was seamless and the same day. I did buy an NJOY just to try it, but I knew it wouldn't be enough for me. A friend suggested I visit a vape store and so I did. I bought a couple of eGo batteries w/tanks and some juice and that was all she wrote. One thing I did was to step up my nic level one step above what was considered to be the level of my cigs. So, they said that Marl-B lights were 12mg and I bought 18mg nic juice.

It's worked flawlessly for me so far, and I am stepping down my nic level now as I feel comfortable that I don't need 18mg anymore. I think what lasttango said was key. Finding the right equipment and juice that suits you will make it much easier. I feel like I experienced some withdrawal, but i don't believe it was from the nic - it was most likely one of the other 4000 compounds in cigs. Whatever it was attributed to, it's been over a month now and I don't feel any more symptoms.

Good luck to you, and I hope you have success with vaping as so many here have! :)
