One of them new energy squiggly looking bulbs. Guess they blow different than the old style that I am used to. I still laugh about it.
I do not wish to rain on your parade. But you do know that those energy saving squiggly looking bulbs are not safe for your family, if they break?
Their advice for cleaning up a broken bulb:
Vacate the room and ventilate it for at least 15 minutes. Do not use a vacuum cleaner, but clean up using rubber gloves and aim to avoid creating and inhaling airborne dust. Sweep up all particles and glass fragments and place in a plastic bag. Wipe the area with a damp cloth, then add that to the bag and seal it. Mercury is hazardous waste and the bag should not be disposed of in the bin. All local councils have an obligation to make arrangements for the disposal of hazardous household waste.

I live in Europe, where the European Union has banned several normal light bulbs, in an attempt to force consumers to
buy these poisonous things that contain "hazardous waste". Well, I have stockpiled decent (old-fashioned) bulbs that do not necessitate that I "vacate the room" in my own home if one of them breaks.
(For those who have been inundated with anti-
vaping propaganda: take a look to see how the danger from mercury is downplayed in the linked document. It makes interesting reading indeed. )
