I bought an X6 mod and after 18 days the mod stopped working. The lights flashed 10 times then Went out. My wife's was bought the same date, and 8 days after mine her also stopped working. So we bought another battery. This time we purchased elego twist batteries. Well all was fine for 5 months or so, when today my battery stopped working. This time the battery did not fire but no lights were visible. Watched videos on you tube which stated it is mostly because of the battery post and to raise it up a little. Tried it. Now my battery has no light up when firing, but flashes multiple times while trying to charge. Why does this problem Keep happening, and is the a way too fix thisi issue?

Ego batteries (1100a-1300a) are made in China and sold for $7...variable VV egos for $9-$12, buy a few, it won't break your bank..egos are so cheap, that basically they are disposeable ...but will last if U do a lil maintenance..

Just, wipe the charging end with a piece of paper towel or Q tip every nite and get any juice and carbon black crap out of there, but don't push hard on the center pin area...I have many cheap clone egos from over a year ago, still working fine..

I'd agree with szot's advice here. Much of the gear we know and (mostly) love is cheap, fairly reliable gear...but as always, with most cheap things, they're not built to last. How do they say it...you can have it cheap, fast or good...pick two. For what it's worth, I've seen a number of threads on the X6 reliability issues lately.

If you want something uber reliable, the gear is out there. But, it's probably going to cost you more than $100. Or probably even more. You can part with that money and know that more than likely, you won't ever have to spend it again. Or, you can take the philosophy that it takes a lot of $20 batteries to make up that $200 or whatever. Either way, them's the breaks.

I figured out that the company I bought the tank from sold me a cheap knockoff. It leaked down into the battery pin and then Down into the battery. I stored the battery upside down over night and it fired fine this morning with juice on the paper towel from Iit draining back out. Thanks for the information guys. I am going to get a bigger and better mod I think. Maybe an itaste 134 with a Russian 91% rba. Should Be STURDIER And Leak free.
