Eh, I categorically hate eBay just because there's really no sort of guarantee. This could be a serious "bottom of the barrel" quality clone and you won't know 'till you get it, and once you do get it (if it's not what you want) there's not much recourse for you. Same goes for the wire. I only suggest buying from sites that fully list the composition of the wire, because there are a lot of other Kanthal-esque resistance wires out there, some of which are not suitable for vaping due to impurities and composition.

That said, the savings you're getting from eBay aren't actually that crazy in this case. Eciggity sells the Tobeco Velocity RDA clone for 20 bucks (and the Tobeco version is definitely nice, I have one myself) and you can easily find a spool of high quality Kanthal for about 5-10 bucks.

As for FT, I don't really have anything negative to say, but you should definitely expect to wait a decent bit of time depending on the shipping options you choose. But like I mentioned above, be wary of the manufacturer of the clone. Some are far superior compared to others. I actually bought one clone at one point that had the center posts incorrectly placed on the deck, it was physically impossible to line the airflow up with the coils given the positioning of the center posts. If the reviews are more or less positive though, you should be fine. Just a "buyer beware" though, trying to save money has its limits. That little bit of extra quality is worth that extra 5 or 10 bucks sometimes, and sometimes it can save a lot of hassle/frustration.

omg. you wrote so many words. you must be vaping :)

i dont have any vaping equipment as i am oversees and i am having HUGE problems with fraud protection with online shops!

they keep giving me excuses like "your IP doesnt match the US" or "how do we know you're not a child" or crap like that.

I swear I have seen so many guys in the military being treated like crap when they wanna order stuff for home from overseas.

My only option is ebay. and vaporDNA which is VERY overpriced.

on a side note; that product you have in your hand right now. is that not made in china? how do you know its not a clone? i am not saying i am buying clones outright i am just asking.

That pretty much sums it all.

Heh, well first, I type ~140wpm optimally. I try and keep my responses to 500 words or less but uh, I'm not so good at counting. :p

Where exactly overseas are you located? Depending on your location someone here might be able to recommend a reasonably-priced vendor that could (hopefully) ship to you in a shorter period of time.

And in regards to your last question, the device in my hands right now is a Wismec Reuleaux RX200 (60$ 3-battery mod capable of going to 200W), which is actually made in China. Er, at least the chip is. The atomizer on top is an authentic Doge V1 (cost me 30 bucks when it was released). Those are also manufactured in China. It's still a reliable device, and there are plenty of reliable devices coming out of China, but there needs to be some research done as there are a lot of no-name companies pumping out garbage/faulty/outright dangerous products.

The biggest thing to look out for, if you ask me, are untagged clones. There are a lot of clone manufacturers out there. My favorites are Tobeco, Infinite, and EHPro. In fact, a lot of authentic atomizers (the Doge included) are manufactured by Infinite. I've had awful experiences with HCigar clones.

If the clone manufacturer is outright not listed, be aware that it might be one of the no-name garbage manufacturers.

It's not a bad deal....

Don't get all worked up. Lots of vapers have a grudge against Ebay. No one complained about you getting a clone. They warned about getting a bad clone. They even recommended an alternate source for a KNOWN good clone. It is also very politically correct to hate on China these days, in the US.

It's a bit of a sidebar, but I wanted to mention an interesting conversation I had with a Chinese buddy of mine. I was talking about clone products and the lack of quality from many manufacturers in China. He said it lends itself to a Chinese mentality called "mei shur" (spelling might be wrong) which translates to something like, "It works" or "Good enough."

In this sense, the business mentality is to sell the product that works today, even if it won't be functional in a day or two.

i type pretty quick too. i am a PC tech by trade ... keyboard is a piece of garbage so 70wpm for now.

anywho i am iraq at the moment and i have opened many threads for people to recommend shops for me.
the only shop that flagged my order and pushed it through was VaporDNA.com ... after i called them they said ok no problem.
the issue with them is their prices are mad high.
i then spent a good half of yesterday processing an order from vapeNW.com for $170 with lots of items including the RX200 .... which was for 39.95.
they then cancelled my order saying it was high risk!
I was not shipping internatinaly though. i was shipping to my brother who lives in Cali/Costa Mesa and all billing info matched accordingly.

I tried a lot of other shops and ALL keep saying high risk crap. my only option now is ebay.

Now i am scouring ebay for the rest of my items. so far i've ordered plenty of wire + cotton. lol.

now i gotta search for the rx200 OR i am thinking of changing my mind cause the battery packs never come in 3's. all 1 or 2 or 4.
i may go back to a box mod with 2 batteries?

I am still a new vaper but i do want something that will grow with me and last. and its not everday i can order more items like you guys as i am mostly traveling.

and thats about as short as i can keep it.

This is the crap from VapeNW.com

Heh for my RX200 I just bit the bullet and bought 6 batteries (because they come in pairs). The other 3 haven't even been used yet, but I figured if the day comes I'll have a spare set of 3.

If you're ordering into the US, and it's literally just your IP address that's the problem (not your physical address), you could always try using a proxy in the US to place your order, although some proxies will probably be blacklisted from certain websites due to bad associations with the proxy. Plenty of web proxies you can try out.

It's unfortunate that people in the service, which is an occupation that often involves high stress (and what better way to relieve that stress than cigarettes) have such a hard time getting ahold of vape gear. It's pretty unfair, shouldn't be so hard for you to get e-cig gear, especially considering that in Iraq you can probably buy some cigarettes for 1USD.

i am hardly worked up. how can you express tone by typing? not possible.
furthermore, i could give a rats ... about politics. chinese people are that... people. they work their asses off ... you want original crap made in the good ol' US of A then go make it yourself and pay a premium.

Where i travel around the world I see the SAME product re-labeled .. heck i have a iStick TC40W and its not labeled eleaf. its labeled another name. whats in the box? the SAME EXACT Stuff. 1:1.
in other words, chinese companies "Rebrand" to whoever buys. Simple as that.

in the end its as you said: finding the correct seller with a good reputation that has the good "part"/"clone".

$16 seems not a lot of money. If it's not great, put it away for spares.
The issue used to be buying really nasty clones for too much money. Take the Royal Hunter.... The real one is $50 in the UK (guess). People bought $30 ones off ebay which were $9 on fasttech... simple 'import and sell' for some vaping pocket money.
Now, if you'd bought a $9 with some Kanthal and didn't wait 18 days, I'd say $16 wasn't too bad.

I have bought any number of drippers on eBay, both clone and authentic. I have never had any issues with the order. However, the quality of clones varies by manufacturer. There isn't any way to tell until you get your hands on it unless you can check reviews. I have a Velocity clone (mine has the bottom feed pin for use o a squonk box). That's a very nice dripper and can be built for flavor or cloud. The deck is particularly easy to work with, and lends itself easily to vertical coils with a horseshoe wick for flavor; or it can be built with horizontal coils and put both tails in the well for better juice transport for cloud. The deck is so easy to work and so versatile it is often copied and this is a selling point for other manufacturers. +1 on the 28ga wire. If you want lower resistance wire, you can build twists or parallels.

Don't get the MXJO batteries. They're re-wraps, you're much better off getting something tried and true like a Samsung 25R (or the LG HG2's). LG HE4's are also pretty nice batteries, I had 4 of those and can't complain.

Also damn @ VPN's not working. I know that's an important/helpful thing overseas.

right but i want high capacity (mah) ... thats what i am aiming for. i dot want a 2100 or 2xxx battery. also and while the mxjo says 3xA i doubt it surpases 20A.

what about those purple batteries forgot their names.

Those Efests are also re-wraps. And in regards to the 3000mAh.. If the amperage (those batteries are 20A CDR, not 30A) is in question, so is the mAh, because they're calculated using one another.

mAh = "milli Amps per hour"

is this a good deal to pass on or should i keep looking?

Black Velocity 1:1 RDA with Drip-Tip + 100FT Kanthal AWG A1 Resistance Wire all for the "buy now" price of: $16.94

I am trying to find a good dripper as i am a newb :)
I have only bought a few vaping items from e-bay and had to get a refund on all of them. I buy most of my gear from fastech and pay a buck or so for USPS shipping and usually get my items in 2 weeks. their free shipping is very slow but I would avoid e-bay for vaping products

i already bought 2 lg hg2's. so those are coming my way no matter what i do. (ordered earlier this week)
heres the thing. IF i buy the rx200 and i am trying to sway away from it to be honest then i have to get one more LG HG2 battery to make a 3 pack with the 2 already in possession.
THEN i have to add another 3 spare.

Do you see the delima?

if i had a boxmod with 2 batts i'd be golden. i alraedy have 2. just order another 2. but f*** the 3 crap!

furthermore, i am seeing lots of "Combo-Deals" on ebay where they add a rx200 with a tank and batteries for a set price. tempting. but again. i am trying to ditch the rx200 for something cheaper?

i am leaning towards the snow wolf 200 ... looks .....ing. way outta my price range. WAY WAY out.

Haha I wasn't trying to sell you on the RX200. It's a nice device for sure, I love it, but it's not for everyone. There are a lot of other options on the market. If getting a 3rd battery is gonna be a hassle (and for some people it is) then forget about it.

A device that I constantly find myself going back to is the Sigelei 150W. Pretty sure it now comes with temp control, and there's a 200W version too. Those all sell for really cheap, and I have beaten my Sig150 to death with surprisingly little visible wear and tear, so I am fairly positive that the current production units will be similarly beefy. You should check out some reviews before you commit to anything. Another nice part about Sig150's/200's is that they're so cheap they're rarely cloned. Rarely as in I've literally never seen one.

Shop around man. Eciggity is my preferred online store of choice, but obviously you have issues with ordering from sites. Still a good place to "window shop" heh.
