If you do a search you will find many recipes on ECF for Dragons Blood.
Here is my version which is modified from Steve's. It took many iterations for me to end up with this which is the one I mix again and again.
I also found that I liked the blend of dragon fruits better than either TFA/FW by itself and just mixed the bavarian and sweet creams that I have - I really can't tell a difference between the vendors on these in the mix.
The taste is not exactly the same as ECBlends -to me everything is better with a bit of cheesecake. Also I think the mix was much closer to ECBs with just the TFA dragon fruit instead of a blend and of course without the cheesecake.
But when I finished off the last of my ECB DB last month, I didn't order any more.
Give it a go making your own version - you may be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks here I was thinking it was cherry, I also like there Dragon magic. I imagine with all those flavorings breaking even isn't easy as ec blends has good pricing already. The Dragons blood reminds my of my capt black dark cav in a way in that the sweet god flavor pops out on the exhale only it look much easier to make.

Thanks for the help.

hmm I have been a Lychee chaser for a year now along with other tropical fruit mixes, and have heard about Dragon Fruit lately, particularly TFA being a good one.

Your recipe posted reminds me of another vape I've tried DIY; Mothers Milk variation with Vanilla Custard, Strawberry and some Cream. I add NY Cheesecake too, and I prefer TFA Sweet Cream as a smoother for all my fruit mixes.

So I guess I'm asking... is this similar to Mothers Milk or other derivations of?

I have never tried Mother's Milk, either the original or any clone recipe I have seen so I can't give you an informed answer. Both are basically a fruit and cream mixture. All of the MM recipes seem to be more heavy on the cream side with a bit of fruit. The DB recipes all have more fruit than cream. The MM recipes all seem to have a custard as well. I don't particularly care for heavy cream and/or custard flavors - I prefer them as accent flavors rather than primary flavors. So my take is that MM and DB are more different than they are similar. But make some up and see what you think.

I have both the TFA and the FW dragon fruit and like them mixed better than either alone - but again a personal preference.

thanks for that... yes you are right about heavy on cream/custard for MM, which is a nice variation for me since my ADV (2 mixes) are much heavier on the fruit side.
So this DB recipe may fit right in between.

Your DB has 1/2 as much strawberry so I guess it should just accent the Dragon Fruit flavor...

Have you tried other DF concentrates than FW and TFA?

I often use 2 different versions of fruit for my ADV mixes too. In research I would buy a few different brands of the same fruit and its great to choose the accents of that fruit to get where you want it to be.

I have only tried the FW and TFA dragon fruit. There are a few others where I have tried the same flavor from 2 or more vendors - lemon, strawberry, raspberry, etc. Although I would like to try every vendors version of my favorite flavors, I have way too many flavors right now.

Here is Steve's original dragon's blood recipe. There is more dragon fruit to strawberry than what I ended up with.
Steve's all TFA
Dragonfruit 10%
Strawberry Ripe 3%
Bavarian Cream 2%
Sweet Cream 2%
Vanilla Swirl 2%
Sweetener 1%

The more I tinkered with the recipe, the taste veered further away from EC Blends version (which is very good). I think my recipe is 5 versions down from Steve's. But I ended up with a mix that I like and make again and again. That's what's great about DIY.

tell me about it... luckily i was able to sell of a big batch of flavors after my research and basically have settled on mostly the tropical fruits as my favorites, thus my interest in DF (exotic?).
I know all about Mango, Pineapple, Passion Fruit, Lychee flavors...
OK now to buy some DF

My dilemma is whether to use Vanilla Custard or NY cheesecake or both. I have Capella for those and don't see myself buying any others since i don't really crave that kind of thing and not to mention diacetyl.

Got my DF today! TFA and FW.
I do have NY Cheesecake, but no vanila (vanilin)... other than a Van. Custard (both CP)... which I don't intend to use. Not sure about the Cheesecake either; yet.

Question; how important do you think the vanilla is?

And also, is having 2 creams important in your opinion?

I do have TFA Sweet Cream as standard for my fruit mixes... no Bav. Cream but DO have some Vienna Cream FA.... use both?

My initial intention was to stick with 2 DF's, Strawb. and sweet cream; I guess you could hardly call that a DB clone...

For now I'm going to mix up 5ml samples of FW, TFA, and Inawera Dragon Fruits... to taste.

Try lots of combinations with what you have - that's the fun part. I have tried vanilla custard and it is too "custardy" for my taste. I have never tried vienna cream from any vendor but deserts with it seem super sweet. If you up the bavarian cream that will add a bit more vanilla flavor. And more cheesecake is always good. I would suggest that you just play around, add/subtract flavors, and see what tickles your taste buds.

p.s. - I did order some TFA lychee to try. I have had the fruit but don't really recall the flavor, so I will be doing some experimentation as well over the weekend.

TFA Lychee must be careful not to go over 5%... 2-3 seems best; it will taste bad, and its not my favorite Lychee.
I like FA Lychee or Hangsen; but it needs something else.
I'll bet TFA lychee would be a good mixer though. It is more tart than the others which can be good.

adding on that the FW Lychee is a bit similar to TFA Lychee but maybe a bit better imo... haven't used TFA for a while.
Mixed with Vienna Cream (5 drops to ml FW Lychee 5%mix) its pretty good.

a friend of mine let me sample this recipe last night. i thought it was quite good. i plan to buy all the ingredients and make myself a nice batch. only problem was he couldnt remember if it was Strawberry or Strawberry Ripe. further, i already have Capella's Sweet Strawberry and i quite like it. maybe i'll just use that instead. what do you think? also, how would i get a bit more creamy taste, by upping each cream/vanilla by 1% maybe? would that be too much or not enough to make a difference?

sorry for all the questions. its just that you guys really sound like you know your stuff. any help would be appreciated.

So... this is how I clone dragons blood {Moderated}, I keep it much simpler than these other ones {Moderated} lol, following is for a 15mL bottle:

1.5mL dragonfruit
1.0mL bavarian cream
1.0mL strawberry
mix nic and VG/PG to your liking...

These are all TFA flavors btw, hope this helps
