Good Morning peeps. What! No GPC yet:blink: maybe he is sleeping late. I have to work again all day. The new Dept manager is adding all kinds of stress and working me too many days, so I am checking with another store about transferring there. New manager is young and never managed a big floral dept before. She keeps telling everyone how long it should take for us to complete certain tasks, she has over ordered flowers where most are ending up going bad because no one has time to make arrangments. Things that need to be done are not getting done because she has a schedule of other things she wants done... anyway it is getting too stressful for me there, especially since she thinks if she schedules me 2 full days and 2 6 hour days that it makes it better. If I can't transfer I may just retire again:grr:

Ordering flowers is probably the one thing more iffy than ordering food for the restaurant. Got a new manager at one of the ones I worked at many years ago and got to take home 2 whole prime ribs cause it was policy that all our meat was fresh and never frozen. He didn't last long, if memory serves I think I saw him managing a Taco Bell shortly after he left us.

And yes I am here. It just took me a little while to get the coffee going and then redo it when I ruined the first pot. Coffee just doesn't do well without the filter in the basket. I needed coffee to be able to make coffee. Guess I should start using that timer thing and make it the night before again. I've gotten lazy in the evenings.:facepalm::lol:

That's coffee abuse :D I always set mine up the night before just so I can stumble straight to the kitchen and get that first cup immediately.

I feel you on the coffee thing. I have forgotten to pour the water in. Now we have a Keurig and a coffee pot so I can have a cup from the Keurig while the pot is brewing. The over ordered flowers would sell if anyone had time to make arrangements. At our store, arrangements sell and plant baskets sell. New manager made a cleaning list that is 2 pages long of stuff she wants cleaned every day and then she short shifts us on busy days and no one has time to do anything but clean and process the product she has ordered. She also micro manages everything we do like we are idiots. My old manager is putting in a good word for me at the other store. It will be a little bit further to drive, but probably worth it in the long run (plus I can take the back country roads)

I had a boss that was that way once and the last day I worked for her she commented on something I was doing I replied do you realize that most of us know more about this job by accident than you'll ever know on purpose. She said something like that's pretty ballsy saying something like that to the person that holds your fate in her hands. I then informed her that I had put my resignation on her desk at lunch. She said she never got it and I was fired. I smiled at her and said well again outsmarted by the best. She chuckled as she left the room I stuck my head into the hall and said by the way. The CEO and director both got copies and I had signed receipts for them.

Ya know, a coffee snob would tell ya that is coffee abuse. The only correct way to make coffee is to grind it immediately before making it. As a caffeine addict though, I'm with you. Get it ready ahead of time, have it start brewing with a timer. I save my coffee snobbery for weekends when I've already been up for awhile.

Yeah, she's hired...but won't be starting til around the 25th. She "wanted to make sure her background check and potty test came back fine and all paperwork was done before she put in her 2 week notice at the place she's at"....o_Oo_O For some reason that's raising a red flag for me, but she wasn't my pick anyways--it's all on the judges.

I don't have time to do that during the week when I have to get ready for work...but on the weekends? Yeah, that's when I get snobby. I need to buy a new grinder though--mine bit the dust not too long ago.

I would not read to much into it. In this day and time it is best to CYA. often things are overlooked, yet at times a Childhood mistake somehow comes back to bite you.

Kinda reminds me of a tv show where the applicant ask it they did random drug tests and if they did she needed two weeks. Yeah, big butted red flag

I used to be all kinds of snobby about it. But, TBH hard to tell the difference in coffee that was ground within the last week as opposed to that day

Yea, My replacement Frame sections came in for the Riding Mower.:D
I've had this 18h.p. 42in. Deck Rider(Montgomery Ward Signature) for about 20yrs. Most people would have gone through 3 by now
I've replaced a few small parts over the years, but it finally gave up last summer and Broke the rear Axle from the Frame. Both Frame sides cracked and broke away with the axle.(rough land)
Well, after much thought and research, I found all the parts for $110 shipped. Ordered those and found a Smaller Rider for $225(14.5hp/42in. cut)

If all goes right I will Rebuild the 18hp back to near new with the new frames, Clean up the 14.5hp and Sell it for everything invested in both. :w00t:

Now all I need is some warm weather, room to work and my body to hold up.:thumb:
Oh...............and a Really good vape to keep me calm .:lol::lol:
