Is this the new manager that is ms micro manage? If so there's your in to becoming her number one buddy/pal/chum/top o the pile kinda person we all know you want to be.

Actually she has loosened the reins quite a bit and now is trying to work with us and lets us work our way. I think it was a trust issue and I suspect that our old manager contacted her with our concerns and told her to lay off or she would lose a good team Anyway, now she knows that I am not far from the store and am willing to make it in when others can't, I'm Gold... another raise helped too... now I am laughing because one of our in-experienced clerks has decided to put in to be a lead florist, she only knows very basic designs that I showed her and they are ummmm .... a bit ..... let's just say she is a good worker but lacks some talent...A lead florist is a Florist that assists the Floral manager not only as a designer but also has to learn the business end of things. I used to be a Floral manager at 2 different companies, not something I want to do again... I'm just part time and I want less hours not more

Good morning GPC and happy early anniversary to you and your lovely wife. May you have many more happy years together. It is raining again here so I'm staying home anyplace I want or need to go is flooded or has been flooded or the roads to get there are flooded
I could make it to the grocery store, but since I work there I don't wanna. I could use some ice cream though or some brownies or ice cream and brownies Or just ice cream, I have Kahlua. I wonder what kind of ice cream they have at Walgreens? I can make it to Walgreens

Try your Kahlua over Orange Sherbert, it's sorta like having an Orange Cappuccino. Also goes with chocolate of any kind it's really good over Rocky Road. Works with carmel flavors like that Moose tracks brand look here for suggestions, Oh yeah and it'll even work with vanilla. If your Walgreens carries liquor get some midori and vanilla ice cream. It's nice together too.

Glad she saw the error in her ways, at least she is trying to work with you. I hate the boss type that thinks they have to reinvent the wheel just because they have the power. Raises Never hurt either. I know when I walked off the sales floor at the western store I worked at and was drinking a cup of coffee with my time card in my hand when our regional come in ask what I was up to. I told her seriously thinking of clocking our signing my card and resigning. She asked what the new manager had done. I told her of his grand plan to only display the left boot of each type so we could display all sizes and colors. I asked if she had any idea how time consuming it be for us to have to go into the back, match the boots by serial number and take the right boot out for fitting if someone wanted to try both on or like me have a slightly larger foot and and have to make sure it fits my right and deal with the left. She told me to relax he was gone at the end of the week and please don't tell him because he didn't know it yet. Misty was coming up from the Visalia store to take over the managers position. That worked for me.

OH yeah and was he surprised come Friday when he got his final and was asked to leave.

I love extreme Moosetracks with fudge filled chocolate cups and chocolate chips and swirled fudge and chocolate bits... chocolate on top of chocolate inside of chocolate that is inside chocolate ice cream... Krogers Private Selection, too bad they cut the container size and raised the price, plus I hate shopping at Krogers. I work for a Texas Grocery Chain called HEB and the HEB Creamy Creations Ice cream (HEB has their own Ice Cream factory, Krogers just rebrands someone else's) has a Pecan Caramel Turtle Ice Cream that is the bomb... chocolate candy, caramel and big Texas pecans in caramel ice cream.... Kahlua goes great on it, but I am going to settle for vanilla at Walgreens and no our Walgreens does not sell Liquor, nor does any other store in Texas, it may only be purchased from a stand alone liquor store... but I have Kahlua and Tequila from my last Trip to Mexico

Hey Gary, Wife and I just celebrated # 40 . Would have been nice to go out to dinner............but I still do do so well with things like that.
* My WC Checks seem to have Stopped. Second week with no(or very late) checks. Have not heard back about last weeks from my lawyer so if nothing in the mail today, Guess I'll call again and add this one to the list.

Really do not understand. I have followed all the requirements without complaint and Their Dr says I am likely NOT at MMI yet, so they should be working toward improvement.

I was actually surprised with all this flooding, to find mail in my mailbox Monday. The garbage trucks couldn't get thru to pick up our garbage but our little mail lady in her little USPS truck made it through to deliver my new Tsunami rda. Of course the post office is not that far from us and she could probably only deliver to the 2 neighborhoods in my area on our little island.

Congrats to you and the wife, yeah I understand the dinner thing we thought about it but decided I'd just do a steak here on my bbq. Was talking to the neighbor megave ntioned the anniversary and the dinner. So him and his wife us a couple of real nice Rib Eye steaks for our anniversary.

So sorry to hear about the hassles with WC, I hated having to jump through all their hoops and other assorted BS then have them act like they were doing you a favor starving your family with no where near enough money to support yourselves on. I had lucked out in the sense that we had a record year for overtime and my WC was actually a little higher than my base pay so it wasn't too bad, but the amount I should have gotten would have been almost impossible to live on

Rob, for a long time I would have been ecstatic to be able to return to work. Now I'd be happy to retire with less pain and no threat of dropping into poverty.

Made a Call to the company that issues WC checks to see what might be going on. Got transferred to the department handling my case.
Now mind you, I Called ACE in Scranton PA..........They transferred me to ESIS in Delaware(My Comp insurer)
Tip Toe Time - not want to cause a stink, I got a secretary/front office person.
Gave her the reference # off the Check stub and once she pulled my account I did a little Old Man babbling - Confuse with confidence and get answers without them realizing what they are doing.
The young lady attempted to transfer me to another department for better assistance, but that went sideways and I was back talking to her.
Got these confirmations:
Last Check issued 4-1-16
Account placed in denial of claim - No
Person in charge Mrs. Ruby XXXXX, which I've known.

Girl asked if Id like to leave her a message? ...................ummm, No My Attorney will be in touch with her, Thank you and have a great weekend.

Called Attorney's Office and found they had just gotten the same basic info 1/2hr earlier and were attempting to reach Mrs Ruby XXXX to rectify the situation.

Well, it gave me something to do for a while anyway

I just heard that Prince passed away this morning. I wasn't a big fan, but he was a talented artist. What bugs me is that he was two years younger than me.

OK No person in charge, Well who's responsibility is that possibly the WC company, Who is this Mrs Ruby? is she supposed to be in charge or is she the one who is supposed to put someone in charge WTH.

Mine tried to tell me I stopped going to my Dr appointments once and they were discontinuing my pay. My Dr. had given me an approval letter/form from them for me to see him every 60 days for the next two visits unless I had a problem. I had finished surgery and was going to 6 months of physical therapy. Dr. said there was no reason to see me but he had to have approval from WC. I had my attorney fax them a copy of their approval. They kinda went Oh I guess we lost that on our end. Such a pain in the .....

I grew up listening to his songs...he was young.
