ECF not displaying properly on phone

It's related to Reoville (our "Home"), and figure it would be ok to post it here.

What's up with ECF displaying on cell phones? Can't see Home while away from home. I have not changed anything on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S3). ECF has looked great on my phone for along time. That is...until 2 days ago. Now, it looks like crap, and can't navigate to pages at all. What's the scoop?

It's doing the same thing for me on my iPad, Ed. It won't keep me logged in, either, all of a sudden (couple/three days ago) and it's just generally being a pain. I don't know enough about it to know what caused it, how to fix it, or even whether it was my iPad or ECF causing the problem!

I've wanted to mention it on here and see if anyone knew what I should do, but wasn't sure even how to explain it!! LOl.

Do you have to keep logging in every time you leave then come back?

Way, way down at the bottom there's a way to choose which display you want for ECF. I use "ECF1".....but lately it started defaulting to "Default Mobile Style" every time I left the site. I think I fixed that by going into my settings and choosing the right one then saving it. But I still can't get it to save my info and keep me logged in. It's driving me crazy!!

Edit: Go to settings, then general settings, then miscellaneous settings, then forum skins and change it to the one you want and save your changes. That'll get your display back, I'm pretty sure. However, I still can't get mine to keep me logged in like it used to! Frustrating!! I'm soooo happy to at LEAST know it's not JUST my iPad causing the problem!

Haven't had any issues on my iPad, yet. However, on my iP5, it has started to switch to the mobile version when I leave.

I can't read Reoville away from home. And Reoville is just as addictive as the Reo Grand.

Nope. Haven't updated nothing on my phone. It's been wanting me to update to Android 4.4.4, but I haven't done it yet.

Try using Tapatalk? Much easier to navigate the site IMO.

I did NOT update to iOS 8. I didn't do anything on my end. It just started doing this a few days ago....actually it started happening last Wednesday or Thursday....not sure exactly.....and hasn't been the same since. And now I see it's napping to ed101z on an Androis device, so.....

Oh, how I wish is understood all this computer stuff better! If ed101z hadn't mentioned it, I would still be assuming that I inadvertently did something that screwed it up for me, and that nobody else was having the problem. Like I said, I didn't even know how to explain it or ask about it. Aaaarrrrgggg!

I don't like Tapatalk. I can't "Like" posts on Tapatalk (or can't figure out how to) and I'm all about the "Like" button... LOL

Bummer! I agree, Reoville is as addictive as a REO. Keep playing with it. Good luck.

Really didn't want to make the thread, but glad I did. Reoville is a big part of our lives, and most of us view it on our phones and other devices. Hope someone out there gets this solved. I won't be able to see Reoville this weekend when I do the weekend shift.

Had the staying logged in issue with mobile browser a few weeks back - never did figure out why... only reason I was using mobile browser was because tapatalk wasn't working at the time... both issue were only this forum, as I visit others forums too. Not sure if mobile browser began working correctly or not, since tapatalk began working a few days after, and I have been using that when on my phone. I did find if I used the links on the page for navigating backwards, that kept me logged in, versus using the back button - back button logged me out everytime.

Looks like the only way to solve this problem, is to bombard ECF Web Design team and get it noticed. Let them know that whatever it is they're doing to the website... is ruining us viewing Reoville on mobile devices.

I use my phone exclusively for ECF and I am not having any problems. I use a Galaxy Note 3. The only problem I've had was trying to change my skin a few weeks back. If I recall, it seemed to change when I changed the setting in my profile but when I tried to go to another page, I received an error and it went back to the default. I stay logged in 100% of the time. I've only been forced to log in once that I am aware of and that was after a forum update if my memory serves me correctly. I hope you get the problem figured out.

I can confirm this happens with android on the Samsung Galaxy S (Sprint Epic 4g). I can no longer read ECF while mobile.

Nothing has changed. Even with a Samsung Galaxy S3 update to 4.4.2 Android.... my phone browser still looks the same. Still can't navigate properly through ECF because of the pop-up menu that overlaps the left side of the page.
