For a while, it seemed that I needed to vape all the time. It was because I was getting less nicotine than when I burned butts. It takes about (for me) 40-50 vapes (of 25mg/ml) to equal the nicotine I got from 1 cig. Over some months, I gradually didn't need a device glued to my face, chasing the 800-1000 vapes to equal the PAD I used to smoke. Now I vape about 350-400 vapes a day and I'm fine.

It's strange how your nicotine consumption changes. Instead of the massive bump every 30-45 minutes, followed by a slow drop-off in your blood levels of nic, it's a constant, low level. Earlier, I suddenly realized that I was feeling that "I need a cig" itch, which I hadn't felt in weeks (except for first thing in the morning). I'd been distracted and forgotten to hit my ego.

What was I doing? Hehehehe.... building a 3.7v box mod ;)

I started vaping last week. I got my first kit while I still had some analogs left. I was smoking between 16 to 22 analogs a day. (We'll just say a pack a day) The day I got my kit, I smoked 14 analogs. The next day, 8 analogs. Days 3 and 4, about 6 analogs. Day 5, 4 analogs. Day 6 (today), 2 analogs. So, now I am ready to go analog free for the first time in 20 years.

I think what has been said so far is true. Vaping on a regular (or semi-regular) basis keeps the cravings down. If I go more than an hour without vaping, I get the craving to smoke and I have to hit my PV a few times to catch up. But once I do, no more cravings. I also agree with the "first thing in the morning" need to smoke. When I wake up tomorrow it will be the first time I do not have any analogs available so we will see how that goes. I have a battery and carto full and ready to go. lol

For me, I noticed that my need has lessened since I started...but I also know that the nic levels I started with weren't nearly high enough. I started at a 12 mg and I couldn't get enough...not because it tasted good, but because my cravings seemed to have been crazy. Didn't know about the availability of other juices....(last march)....once I found the juice vendors, I jumped to a 24mg and that seemed to do the trick for a while, then I needed to get more power to get more oomph out of my atomizers. Through a whole lot of trial and error....I finally settled two solutions: a 3.7v battery, low res atomizer on my eGo for dripping and for getting my vape on...I'm using my REO mini...which is a bottom fed juice mod which uses a 3.7v battery and again, the low res atomizer. Once I found the system that worked for me, I cut my juices to the 16mg - 18mg range and that seems to have my cravings handled. Now when I'm cranking away on the mini REO it is because of the flavor....and not so much for the need. I've been analog free since late August, no fuss, no mess, no stress. Don't know if this helps or not, just thought it might be relevant. Congratulations on your transition to vaping! Way to go!!!

What's nice about vaping is that we can do it almost anywhere
I find myself pulling it out in the grocery store while deciding which product to choose
and enjoy vaping indoors at home without stinking up my clothes
anyone looks at me funny, I tell them it's vapor, not smoke and smile
It's nice not to be looking at the clock to see if it's time for a puff
vape happy and vape often :)
