Travel and Vaping ecig in paris france?

Im not really sure where to put this, so mod, if im in wrong place, then please do what you must and move it to where it belongs ok?

but i think travel is where i need to be lol?

anyways, im leaving for paris france 2marrow and want to know if ecigs are legal to vape in that country? and will i have any issues in going thru customs at the airport?

Ecigs are legal. Haven't seen many in use though. have vaped on terrasses but never in the bars except stealth. You can vape in the restroom cubicle of course and in yr hotel room without annoying anyone.
Put your electrical stuff chargers et c, spare PVs in the hold luggage with your computer or hairdrying stuff. Liquids in the hold luggage with nail polish, scent et c.
I know vapers who travel with the e-cig and a couple of pens in their jacket pocket and simply put them in the tray with their watch and coins at the scanner. No-one has reported a problem. Vaping openly in the plane is prolly a no no cos cabin staff may fear over reaction from other passengers. In airports I have either stealth vaped or spent some time in the restroom.

i have put my eliquid in a 1 qaurt ziploc baggie along with my mouthwash, shampoo, etc for carry on

my ecig is in my old ciggy case in my purse, and then packed a spare ecig in my luggage..my chargers are packed with camera, laptop etc in my hubbys carry on

as much as i hate to do this, im taking along a pack of newports in case my stuff gets taken away by the powers that be eh?
hope i dont have to smoke them,..

I really don't think you will have any trouble with your cigarette électronique. (Expect you need US-> French adapters for the power sockets?)

I had no problem getting my e-cig through security for a domestic flight, and actually vaped openly in the airport and stealthily on the plane. Customs might be a little tougher to get through, but since they're not illegal in France or the USA, I'm sure it won't be an issue. I'd think that hiding it deliberately might cause more problems than they'd prevent if they saw it, which is more likely international than domestic. Then again, I got through customs from Costa Rica with a bunch of alternative smoking devices that could be construed as drug paraphernalia with no problem, so I doubt an e-cig would cause problems, especially if the equipment you're not using is stored with your laptop.

Good luck though, and let me know how it goes, because I plan to travel to France for my Spring '11 semester.

eta, not hiding anything, just carrying ecig in my old analog cig case, thats where i carry them now lol
if they ask, ill tell them the truth, its my ecig, etc

No problems with customs from Texas to Montreal, Quebec and Quebec is kinda like France, to a Texan it is anyway...



I just put my PV (at the time a screwdriver) in the tray, my batteries (except the ones in the pv) were in my luggage along with a power strip. My liquid & extra batteries were in with my shampoo.

There is also an old TSA letter floating around the forums somewhere that confirms it is fine to travel with. I brought it with me just incase I needed it, which I didn't.
