I got big health improvements when I switched to vaping. I stopped coughing up junk all the time, my lung function improved markedly, and I also had severe pain in my left leg at night while trying to sleep from peripheral arterial disease, which when I looked it up was attributable to smoking, and this went away not long after I quit the cigs and started vaping instead. I could also smell things again, although I realized there were some things I'd much rather not smell.

So in answer to your question, yes, I got much better health when I switched to vaping. I've been vaping for over 10 months now, and can't see any reason to stop.

Absolutely better now in multiple ways. Last year when I walked in my neighborhood I had to stop at least once every block to catch my breath. This year made it through the whole walk with zero stops. I have elderly, small dogs (5 and 7 lb). I have to carry them upstairs at night and I used to carry up two of them, sit on the bed to catch my breath, go back for the third and do the same. Now I get the two up, go down and get the other little guy and can breathe the whole time. No more nights of coughing and my sinuses are clear. Really good changes all in all!:vapor:

All depends on how hard I work out. I'm an avid bike rider and last year my times went up and speed down from the year before. I am 62 so that may have something to do with it. But I haven't been on the bike that much this year and not at all since I stopped smoking altogether, 2 weeks ago. Work is taking all my time.

I could do a 30-40 ride with no problems, although as I said I was slower last year. Hopefully this year I will gain some of that speed back and go for longer rides.

I am a 72 year old female, slender and pretty fit and active, even when I smoked. I smoked heavily for over 40 years. I didn't have breathing problems when smoking, but had a nagging cough that was awful in the morning, and sometimes during the day. At night, I would sometimes have slight wheezing when lying down.

The first few days I started vaping, (not smoking at all), the cough totally disappeared, and so did the wheezing. I'm now 4 months in and feel great, no cough, no wheeze.

I just wanted to ask if any of you that have been smoking ecigs for a while have noticed any improvements in your breathing, such as not getting winded or short of breath when you are out walking. I would really appreciate an answer from as many as wish to respond.

Dramatically so. A year (and change) ago, I got winded taking the trash out. A few months in with vaping, I emptied my storage by myself. This included moving a gun safe by the way...

(Edit: Oh and I'm 52)

I just went to the doctor and my oxygen saturation went from a 95% to 100% and that's in 33 days off cigarettes! I also don't need my inhaler any more and I no longer have a wheeze. This is the honest truth in 32 days my breathing has drastically improved! I'm not coughing any more nor do I have phlegm like I had before. I also had lung pain before which is completely gone now.

Good for you, Cbrite! I often think about you carrying those little dogs up the stairs.:) I just have one 6-lb young toy poodle with enough energy to carry me!
