Eciggity lost shipment; Are they responsible?

Actually this is true. USPS from Hawaii to Canada will wait until there is a full mail-container before they load it on a ship to Canada. They'll only send overnight packages off of Hawaii via air. I've heard many tales about this in the last few years.
I did mention to them that I would wait another 15 days if I did have to file a claim and this would put it at a month and a half.

My FDV shipment from Hawaii was here in a week via USPS. The second package he sent to me the other night is already in Los Angeles and neither one of those was shipped overnight. I really hope they did not put the package on a boat... :?:

Yes he did use priority mail.

The only tracking number I have for the Eciggity package appears to be broken. It claims that my shipment is First-Class Package International Service and since the tracking is stuck at PRE-SHIPMENT what you are telling me is that my package has been sitting in a container for a month waiting for it to fill up...

If this is in fact the case then they REALLY need to tell their customers that this is the way they ship packages that are less than 1 pound to Canada and charge $9.50 for it...

BOTH, It's an issues between you and Eggcity, involving an issue between Eggcity and USPS. So Eggcity is responsible to make YOU, their customer, happy. You are not the customer in the USPS part of the transaction Eggcity is, So that makes Eggcity responsible till you accept delivery.

Nope. Incorrect. They may send a replacement out of the kindness of their heart or to retain someone as a client. Once it leaves Eciggity it is the responsibility of the purchaser and USPS. I know we all read the fine prints and such. It is this way at a lot of places. Sorry but what you wrote is just wrong. It all depends on the FOB.

Shipping

We currently ship to the U.S, Canada, and United Kingdom. Once an order has left our facility, we are no longer responsible for these items. Lost, missing, or stolen packages must be referred to contacting USPS about any issues concerning shipping mishaps.

BTW.. I have ordered from them and have been sent what I bought in a short time frame. I don't blame them for long shipments if it left the premises when stated. I also do not give them props for fast shipments. They have no control over it unless the upgrade the shipping. That goes for any company.

That is all great and good, but nowhere in that link do they mention they would be shipping my package to me by container... If that was the case I would have gladly paid $20 or whatever to get a some Airmail shipping involved. If it was ONLY by container, I would never have ordered it from them.

I really hope that this is not the case. It's 9:11AM in Honolulu right now so I don't know when they hit the messages on the system.

mr TrollDragon, fellow Nova Scotian... just wanted to point out that canvape has both the items you ordered from eciggity for less than you paid, if you count the current exchange rate: 99 USD at eciggity Vs. 110 Canadian dollars for that ipv at canvape ...currently 99USD is 126 Canadian...

The shiny would have worn off that ipv by now and you'd be looking for something else...

Canvape is a registered supplier here, check em out.

At the time I ordered it, Canvape did not have the product in stock and the exchange rate was at $0.86 on the USD. I picked up the IPV2s and some spools of Kamthal for less than Canvape sells it for now since you still have to factor in shipping and HST from them.

My package has been lost in the void that is the USPS.

Sounds like a package fell in the USPS cracks. You should open a claim with USPS consumer affairs.

I have ordered from eciggity before and it took 4 days to get to AL from HI.
That is exactly what has happened.

As a Canadian I cannot open an claim ticket as that has to be done by the US Sender, which Eciggity tried to do on my behalf. I also could not open an inquiry ticket because the shipping method they used for the international shipment starts has a tracking number that starts with an LZ and you can not submit an inquiry if it starts with those letters.

I had spent quite a bit of time on the USPS website trying to resolve this, without a working tracking number there is not much they could do.

UPDATE

I received a reply back from Eciggity last night and they have been trying to locate my package with USPS the whole time without any success. So they are reshipping my order with Priority Shipping and I am just waiting for the new tracking number.

I am extremely pleased with this resolution.

I received a reply back from Eciggity last night and they have been trying to locate my package with USPS the whole time without any success. So they are reshipping my order with Priority Shipping and I am just waiting for the new tracking number.

Good news for you...

I was going to add that based on the tracking info... your package appears to have made it through wherever local post office eciggity dropped it off and was accepted/scanned at the Honolulu international shipping hub. Since it's international... odds are it may have to go through US Customs before it departs and I don't know about Hawaii to Canada... but odds are it'll go through a Canadian Customs hub before it's back in the hands of a postal/delivery service. Good odds Customs is in the mix and may have the original shipment... But bottom line based on the scan data it never left the sunny shores of Hawaii.

Hello All!

On Dec 30/2014 I ordered an IPV2s and some Kanthal wire from Eciggity. The order was paid for with a prepaid Visa card and everything went perfectly smooth until the tracking information was emailed to me.

The tracking information from USPS has always shown as PRE-SHIPMENT. I inquired with ECiggity and they said that sometimes this happens and I should receive my package on schedule. Well in two days it will be a month...

Further messaging with Eciggity has proved somewhat helpful but they claim that it is the responsibility of USPS to find my package. Since I am in Canada I cannot submit an inquiry on the USPS site as it has to be done by the US sender. Eciggity said they tried to film a claim for the package but because of the shipping method and being an international package it doesn't work.

Any opinion on how I should proceed with this? Is it the fault of USPS or Eciggity? I can file a claim with the credit card company but that will be another month and they state IF I win the dispute it will be refunded. From the tracking info it appears to be that the package should have been dropped off at the post office, it that an out for Eciggity or should they be responsible?

All suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Looks like typical USPS automated postings and the actual Departure.

Edit: see you got an update and Re-ship!!!! Sweet.
