RESOLVED

Well the second shipment has landed, 45 days since the initial order. Eciggity had shipped this one out Canada Xpresspost on Jan 31 and it arrived Feb 12 in the afternoon. Let me tell you it was the longest afternoon at work I have had in a while. :D

I have suggested more shipping options for Canadian customers than just the single one that is provided and they are going to look into it. Hopefully that would help stop anyone else from experiencing the same problem I had.

With a fresh battery installed, the Origen V2 was the first device tested and the IPV2s works flawlessly. I like the memory settings and did the firmware upgrade to 70W, not that I'll be using that kind of power right away, but you never know.

Thanks to everyone here for your suggestions and help and a big Mahalo nui loa to the crew at Eciggity.

Ultimately, these are the kinds of orders/reasons why a lot of places have dropped shipping to Canada. Or those that do have plain disclaimers on their web sites that they hold no responsibility for packages once they leave the USA border - so check their international terms before you order.. Sorry, but international customs and tracking for e-cig gear can be a pain and a lot of suppliers simply gave up and no longer do it at all.

Thanks for your input Rickajho... I DID indeed check their international terms BEFORE I ordered and I didn't have a problem with them. My first shipment never left the docks in Honalulu, so leaving the border of the good ole US of A didn't apply...

I receive packages from all over the world in the mail some with tracking, many with none. I have bought quite a number of Soviet vacuum tubes for my amplifier from various Eastern bloc countries and have never had a problem or a lost shipment. I once mailed a custom audio cable to buddy in Moscow who unfortunately gave me the wrong mailing address... It showed up back in my mailbox 7 months later with a big Soviet Return to Sender label on it.

The only real problem with shipping internationally appears to be with the USPS.

Lack of Shippong experience:
USPS
Canada POST:facepalm: (been there)
China Post
Singapore Post
PostNL (Netherlands)
And the list goes on.........................

These are just ones I have had excessive issues with - Generally Tracking and timely(loosely) Deliveries.

By your own Tracking info - You have no Idea where the Package is.
Could be on dock
Could Be in U.S. Customs - outbound hold
Could be in Canada Customs - inbound Hold
Could be on a world Tour

Well then I have been very lucky so far with the mail system.

We will see down the road if the first package ever shows up. If it is on a World Tour, then I hope the fill the package with redirect stickers from all over. :D

This is exactly why I like to shop Canadian. The company I deal with charges only $5 shipping anywhere in Canada AND I get my order within 48hours.
I like to shop here as well and support the local B&M when I can, but there were no units available in Canada at the time. The threads were stripping out of the WeeLeaf and I needed a new unit.

Do Tell! Who is this amazing Canadian company who ships across Canada for $5 with 2 day delivery?

That would be a collectors piece -
Remember, the more you order the better your chances of collecting unique Stamps ;)
