Ok... I'm annoyed. I set my account up with them at the beginning of last week... and was assured I could sell e-cigarettes..

When I signed up for the account... the dude was emailing me withing 5 minutes of emailing him. For 3 days we had conversation back and forth...

When I noticed I couldn't take CC payments, I sent them an email on Monday.
I've sent 6 emails this week... about the fact that I cant make any sales w/out CC services... and I have yet to receive a response. Online form, support email and the email I got from the guy that setup my account.

Even PayPal responded 10X quicker than this...

What happens if my account has problems 3 months down the road? Am I going to be ignored while I sit and sales completely stop? No... I will not.

I closed my AlertPay account today...

They lost a customer before this customer ever received a payment. Beware.

I got a kind fellow here that offered cc processing services. Might be my only chance right now since I can't get any Merchant Account Services to call me or email me back about an account.

*frustrated*

I'm surprised other small suppliers haven't told you who they've gotten for their processing to help you out. Hang in there. I'm willing to guess that most folks would send you a money order if necessary to pay for things but as you said, you can't have a business without CC processing.

Yeah, I've been suggested some sites and names, but most either haven't gotten back with me or I've been declined.

I have bad credit because of a few outstanding bills I refuse to pay. I have a $10,000 bill owed to Bellsouth for a YellowPage ad about 7 years ago that they screwed me on. They told me one price, and then I signed a form that had another. Never thought I'd get screwed that way... but that one typo on the form sold me 4 ads instead of one... and the bill went from $3000 to almost $10,000... not to mention I only got 3-4 calls from those ad's in a year and a half. I refused to pay it and now its wrecked my credit... as well as a couple of medical bills I couldn't afford to pay.

I'm waiting to hear back from a few people...

Worst case scenario is that I partner up with another supplier. I've already talked with several people about this and I am mulling over my options. eCigMods is going no where. :)

I think cooping w/ another supplier would be your answer..
great to hear these options might work...
hang in there,. everything is going to work out for you!

Can't you just accept credit cards without having to go through agencies like Pay Pal or Alert? I've also heard of Merchant One and Amazon Pay, maybe even your local bank may set you up or direct you to a better option.

Most places see e-cigs as an extremely high risk category... and according to most people I've talked to, there are only a handful of merchant accounts that will take on e-cig business. I totally believe that since I've been turned down, before credit checks, by about 20 places so far.

All I get in a response is.. "we don't allow those... sorry."

lol

AlertPay really ...... me off. First, to get me to sign up... the dude was emailing me every 10 minutes. After the account was setup, and my bank info was there... I never heard from him again. I sent emails on Monday asking about the account problems and nothing. I sent 5 more emails over the next few days and nothing. I send an email this morning telling them I'm closing my account and that I think its a joke to take a week to get with a business having problems processing transactions... and within 5 minutes of sending that email, I had a response. He insisted that I didn't send him an email till yesterday and that it takes 24-48 hrs for a response.

I then canceled my account and sent him another email asking him how I got a response so quick today... and why the response wasn't to one of my first emails.... and he never replied...

Ahh... people are so quick to sign you up, but then can give a crap what happens to you after that.

The only problem with this solution is that I will only make mods... and honestly... mods are great, but the small sales of the other items will be what makes me the most money. Bottles, atomizers, batteries, chargers etc.

Kinda defeats the whole idea of a modding supply store. *lol*

I'm talking to them now... but its not likely I'll get an account with my credit. Stupid Bellsouth.

Yeah the last thing we want is anymore problems but sometimes life throws them at us anyway. That being said there is a glitch in the google checkout that need to be fixed. I think we who prepaid for this mod paid $25 + $3.50 shipping (total $28.50) leaving a balance of $54.99 but good ol Google is charging another $3.50 for shipping again. I cant see away around it. My first thought was to pay it and have YOU ship priority mail which if more than enough to cover a 1lb. pkg. but I've waited this long I can wait longer. You dont need anymore issues but I thought you should know. I PMED you.
