I've been browsing through the forums and have a beginner's understanding to how these work. However, most threads turn into "look at my Reo", or "my specialty made box is one of a kind" contest which doesn't really help me to understand much.

So, here are my questions:

1) Bottom, Top, Gravity Feeding: I've read how they feed in different ways, but it means very little to me since I don't have one and haven't the comprehension to know which one I may like to get in the future (kinda interested in trying one out). In terms of ease of us what are the pros and cons to each one in terms of filling, refilling and vaping? My general impression is that you squeeze the bottle (that acts like a tank) and it puts juice up to where it needs to go to have a good vape.

2) VV vs Manual: I thought liquid feed mods (LFM) were pretty much manual buttons, but it seems that they can also be a vv device. I'm really apprehensive about vv devices, mostly due to the learning curve and fiddly-ness of pressing buttons to go through a menu setting. While I am looking into one of these as a future option, are most considered to be manual?

3) Battery Range: What is the range of batteries that these devices use? Longer vape time on an 18650, 3.7V is more to my desire. They're really the only battery type that I know of though, due to my limited experience. Also, in an idealistic world, it may also mean that I could just buy the parts that I want instead of a whole kit since I already have these and the charger for them.

4) Atty vs Carto: Until today (when I saw a topic about it), I thought LFMs were specifically meant to be used with an atty. My first impressions from using an atty were less than stellar. They needed break in time and continuous (read: PITA) dripping. That goes against my "ease of use" requirement, but the dripping part seems to be taken care of with LFMs because the liquid gets squeezed into the atty. If, say, I still don't like using atties this way, could I still use cartos, or would I pretty much have to sell it at that point, or let it collect dust?

5) Bottle Longevity: Are the bottles prone to any wearing due to cinnamon type liquids that are known to crack tanks?

6) Liquids: Do these systems work well with 100% vg liquid? Pg is out for me due to sensitivities.

Finally, I've been eyeing the VMod (2.0 and the XL) from Vapage the most lately. Would the 2.0 be too small? I did notice that it takes a different battery in which case I would probably have to get the whole kit. I kinda like the thought of having a smaller one, but unless I see it in someone's hand along with the XL, I don't really know which one would be the best for me to try. The XL takes the 18650 batteries and they have an "a la carte" which does not include a charger which would be cool too.

1. The different feeding methods all accomplish the same end, so really it's just preference.
2. There are LFMs that are VV, yes. VV is not finicky though, at all. I had the same hesitation you had about it with the buttons and menus but really, it is not even close to what I expected. Very easy to use.
3. LFMs can use any battery really, most I have seen use 14500, 16340, some 18650, just depends which type of box it is.
4. You can use cartos with LFMs.
5. The bottles won't crack or wear, they're basically the exact same bottles your juice comes in.
6. These systems will work fine with any ratio :)

There is a very sweet Mother's Day sale going on, but my funds are tied up until the fall with birthdays, anniversary and generally kid-related stuff. I really don't think that I can bat my eyelashes at the hubby for a third time after getting the Silver Bullet...and phiniac tank. It might work like a charm, but I'd probably end up watching my current vape gear go out the window. (Kidding about that, really, but I'd certainly get a look implying it).

What kind of preferences? I was under the impression that some are easier to fill than others.

2. There are LFMs that are VV, yes. VV is not finicky though, at all. I had the same hesitation you had about it with the buttons and menus but really, it is not even close to what I expected. Very easy to use.

You underestimate my laziness

3. LFMs can use any battery really, most I have seen use 14500, 16340, some 18650, just depends which type of box it is.

Differences on battery life for these? How much of a difference are the first two compared to the 18650?

4. You can use cartos with LFMs.

Sweet.

5. The bottles won't crack or wear, they're basically the exact same bottles your juice comes in.

Also good to know. Most of the bottles that I have received have a good squishy factor to them that I like.

6. These systems will work fine with any ratio :)

Wonderful :)
