Why is this post now showing up as the first 74 new items in the activity stream?

Eeek! "New York City" has a problem!

Irritating since i use the new post button to follow the forum. All i get to see is like 4 pages of the same announcement.The announcement was added to 74 sub-forums, hence the activity in the stream.

Actually it's now past the first 77 posts and appears to be growing.
Assuming this was an Oopsie! is is going to be corrected?
They will move out of the stream as other new posts come in. Certainly not a mistake, as it's an important CTA.
I don't believe they will because they were posted as Announcements, not as regular posts. They are, in effect, stickied at the top of the activity stream. The only thing we may have to do to clear them is read the post 77 times to clear them?
I too wondered if ECF had been invaded by the self replicating post Monster. It is a little annoying as i too use the New post button to find the newest threads and posts. I just wonder why all the hype about the NYC banning Flavored juices and ecig. This is the same City that tried to Ban lg sized soft drinks and Slurpies. I'm surprised that they havn't banned Breathing or human reproduction. NYC is actually not even on planet Earth anymore, it left the earths reality zone years ago!
Ok... after searching through 20 pages of the "Activity Stream" and not finding anything, it occurred to me to check "Today's Posts". Now I see the issue, and it's fixed.
