I have one of these on order, should be here today or tomorrow. Anyone else using these and any thoughts on performance? I plan on using it with my rba at around .9 ohm (dual coil 1.8's).

Here's the specs:

Norminal Capacity: 2100mAh

Nominal Voltage: 3.7V
Cut off Voltage : 2.5V
Continuous maximum charge current:10A
Continuous maximum discharge current: 30A
maximum discharge current: 60A
Size: Max.18.25x 65.00mm
High current cell with a current capacity of up to 60A
Internal resistance: 12 mOhm only (1 kHz AC)!

Capacity after 500 cycles, with 4A charging, discharging at 10A: still about 86%

Continuous maximum discharge current: 30A is believable although may be exaggerated, no way to know. The maximum discharge current: 60A is bogus, this is a pulse rating that companies get to make up to satisfy their sales departments.

A pulse rating is the "highest" amperage the battery should be able to handle if there is a catastrophic failure in the circuit it's powering before the safety circuits kick in and shut down the circuit completely.

The green on a VTC4 is simply the wrapper, it would have been removed if rewrapped.

The numbering on the battery doesn't look like any VTC I've ever seen. And the top looks almost like it has a protection circuit on the positive end, something that would never be found on a high drain IMR battery.

Not sure what you have your hands on there.....

Thanks, appreciate the feedback. It's working fine anyway...checked in at 3.63 on arrival and took awhile to charge up, I'd say at least 4+ hours. Took it off the charger on the green light and showed about 4.20 on a full charge. I wrapped with some electrical tape to get a coating back on.

Have not used this yet, waiting on some shrink wrap from Illumination Supply to do the wrap right. If anyone has what they believe or know to be genuine VTC4s and are willing to remove the wrap, it would be interesting to do some comparisons on those numbers on the casing.

The wrap on Sony cells is translucent. The text you see is actually printed on the cell body rather than the green wrap. So, a Sony cell will not have the markings which are printed on your EFAN batteries.

Got the wraps a few days back and finished off the battery. For my first wrapping I think it came out pretty decent. Had a trim a sliver off the wrap for a good fit.

This battery is working great and I have no complaints or issues. To use on my 4/NINE clone though I do have to add the a button top adapter. I wouldn't hesitate at all to get more if needed. If you can get beyond the misleading advertising of this one and realize it is a 30 amp with 60 max pulse or burst, you should be fine.
