Just got an efest 18350 from MyFreedomSmokes, protected circuit, nipple-top, its blue... lol. I really don't get the difference between batteries and what mods work best with what batteries, ect. Anyway, it fits in the VMAO (v2). Its a snug fit, but the cap goes all the way on. The screen flashes like it does when I insert a new battery, and with five clicks it turns on. No matter what the voltage or wattage is set to, as soon as I press the fire button the devices appears to turn off. No combination of button pressing or 5-clicks will turn the device back on. I can re-insert the battery and the screen turns back on, and the li-ion batteries that came with still work just fine.

Is this battery incompatible and/or defective, or am I just being thick?

Your help is MUCH appreciated :)

Well.. this is the only mod I own, otherwise I would have checked it in a different device. I don't think its the spring because its a really snug fit. No looseness or rattling at all. The efest appears to be in perfect condition, I don't see how it would be shorting.

Other batteries still work just fine, this is the only one giving me trouble.

Protected 18350 says it all...

It won't work.
You need IMR 18350's for your Vamo.
You can probably get that battery to fire if you lower your wattage?voltage really low, but basically you bought the wrong battery.

Efest IMR 18350's are red with a silver sticker.

Thank you very much! I wondered if this was the case, but I wanted see if someone more knowledgeable could enlighten me. I'll order the correct battery.

Thanks again!
