Can you let me know your experience with these? Thinking of getting a couple but thought I heard something bad about them a while back...could be mistaken though. Also if you know a good place to get them that would be nice too.

I have a couple EFEST 1100MAH reds that I run in my SVD travel rig.
I don't use em in my mech, though with my current .9 dual coil I feel that it would be safe, I'd just have to change them constantly.

I have been using a set of four Efest 1100mAh 18500 reds just about constantly for over a year now. They show no sign of getting tired yet. I vape about 7 watts so they are more than sufficient for my purpose. V1 is flat top, V2 is button top.
The two local vape shops that I know sell Provari's both sell Efest 2000 mah 18650's to go with them. That's what I'm using. I'm happy with them. If you're getting them for a Provari, make sure you get the button top. I don't think flat-tops work in a provari.
I can use 18350, 18490/18500 and 18650 in my rig because it has a telescopic tube. 18500 is my favorite battery. I had to make a compromise between the battery that gives me the most capacity and the battery that is a most comfortable choice for pocket-carrying the device.
The Efest red IMR 18490 or 18500 is rated 1100mAh with a continuous discharge rate of 8.8A. V1 is flat top, V2 is button top.
A 18490 is the same 18mm diameter as 18500 but 1mm shorter.
The AW red IMR 18490 costs more but is rated 1100mAh with a continuous discharge rate of 16.5A. The AW 18490 is button top only.

I run efest purple 18500 1000mah 15a on my ProVari kayfun combo and I have never had an issue to date. I also tried them out on my stingray with an omega rda and the stillare and worked like a charm as well. I've heard nothing but good things about them. I have a Sony vtc5 18650 for the stingray but I'm probably getting a efest purple 18650 2600mah 35a also

AW 18490 1100mah is a better all around battery. 16.5 amps continuous discharge rate (15C rating) vs the 8 amps of the red Efest. Even the purple Efest 18500 only has 15 amps.

I'm running these batteries in my provari mini with kayfun at 1.1 ohms and they are only lasting me about 2 hours? Is that normal?

That's pretty much what I experienced with Efests in my Provari. I stopped using them for this reason.
I returned to using the AW IMR. 10 - 12 hours run time with the AW 18490. After all, this is the battery that Provape recommends to use at least 4 times on the Provari product page.
I thought something could be wrong with my provari! Thanks.

The Provari was actually designed with the AW battery in mind after Provape tested the available batteries at the time. They still recommend using only AW IMR button-top batteries for the Provari.

Thanks everyone for all the help. I decided to stick with the AW IMR 18490 as it's primary use will be in a Provari.
