My Vamo setup was here when I got home yesterday. I put the 18650 and a 18350 in the charger. This morning the 18350 is green the 18650 is still red. I removed both and checked them with a meter. The 18350 is 4.2 and the 18650 is 4.0.
So I put the 18650 in the Vamo and it shows 4.1. So I guess the 18650 is just not tripping the charger to green.
Do these batterys start to work better after afew charges. Kind of like getting broke in?

Best to learn proper and safe use of batteries and chargers especially since you're using the TR-001.

When I take my batteries off the charger after the light turns green and check them with a multimeter they almost always read 4.17 to 4.19, when I put them in either the VAMO or Sig Zmax they read 4.2. Your device is probably rounding up to the next highest number, 4.18 on multimeter = 4.2 in device. If you had left your 18650 in the charger a little longer I am sure it would have reached 4.2ish. 18650 will take longer to charge than 18350, no big deal, just something to be aware of.

I am running Efest 18650's and 18350's and using the TR 001. One of these days I get the Nitecore

Edit: After reading post again I am not sure how long the batteries have been charging, as in number of hours. You may want to keep a close eye on your setup.

Waiting until it goes green will give you the most vaping time, as it will reach 4.2 volts. You might find it takes less time to recharge, as your mod may cut off before you discharge it as much as when it arrived. That said, the batteries that come with most mods are just adequate, not the current best performers. If the 18650 never gets over 4.1 volts, you may experience a somewhat shorter vape time. Plan on getting another couple batteries for rotation, and go for premium ones, like AW IMR, to get the best long term results. Good luck and enjoy your new mod!

Thanks for the replies. It was on the charger about 8 hrs. I'm using it now and seems ok. I have 2 18350. Both of them went green between 2 and 3 hours. I've been reading everything I can find on mods so I'm good there. I'm not worried about vape time as I'll be keeping the spare batterys with me. Think I'll keep my 1300 spinner with me also just in case.
